Sumedh's pov
Don't know what had happened to her, why was she panicking but then she suddenly fainted. It couldn't have been something more devastating. I started patting her cheeks but she didn't wake up. I saw a little exposed bandage on her hand. Removing the sleeve i found that the cut was big enough. I called the doctors.... She was taken to a room and they checked her. From the translucent glass doors of the room, I saw the nurses dressing her hand again which had a huge cut. When did it happen? She was all ok in the morning and then she was fainted. The doctors were checking and testing her since an hour. My anxiety knew no bounds. Finally a nurse came out alarming my senses I got up from my seat.
"Are you her husband?"
"Yes!" I replied desperately seeing her poker face.
"Congratulations sir. She has conceived." The nurse said. I blinked my eyes several times trying to process if I was mistaken by my ears.
"Wait what?"
"Ya u heard that right! Ur wife is pregnant" She confirmed again and I was beyond happy to hear her words. I lost words to express. For a second, I forgot about everything and then when I looked over the glass door to see her pretty face, her eyes closed in a peaceful sleep.
But the thing was that.... Had that lady been always like that? Giving a good news also with a poker face??
Gosh! The ladies are quite complex to get into ur brain for sure. And if u r really dumb! Then .... Whatever!!!
"Sir can u say why u guys didn't concern to get her injured hand checked by an experienced doctor? It is deep and could've get infected if it would've kept for some more time. This won't heal by normal first-aid treatment" I heard the nurse saying again. But I didn't know anything about the cut, I was with dad the whole day.
"Madam I don't know when and how it happened. She didn't say me anything" I replied, being tensed about it. Cz I did not have any single idea of that cut.
I was dam sure she was also attacked and i knew her, she was smart enough to hide words and secrets!
"Sir, doctor wants to talk to u" She said before leaving.
I went inside to talk to him.
"Mr. Mudgalkar, as u got the news..."
"Yes doctor. Just now!"
"Congratulations about that. U can take her home when she gains consciousness." He said and I nodded at him.
"Well... Bring her tomorrow for checkup. U will get the test reports by tomorrow evening"
"Okay doctor." I said and flashed a quick smile to him.
"She needs a lot of care Mr. Mudgalkar. I see ur father is also in a sensitive condition. So it's gonna be tough!"
