Part-35 ~peaceful Sleep~

(Sumedh's pov)
she assured me that she'd be there for me. She accepted me as her friend. But I always wondered if the things between us were just of friends or something unique than that.

After coming back from her house, I freshened up and laid down on the bed.  It had her rosy smell over it. Also I remembered how I disrespected her. After that no girl would've listened to my words, no girl would've spared me but she did nothing. I touched her body I almost.... I feel ashamed, I had become blind in anger, I made my mother to cry.... I was a jerk!!

'I neither hate u, nor I've any sort of sympathy for u... But I shall help u...'

'I'm ur friend and u deserve the world'

I remembered her words. Is she an angel? Idk but I never want to loose her. She gotta know what's my truth is... Only she knew it.... She understood it.... Meeting her mother I felt my mom just very close and feel ashamed to think that I threatened to kill her too. I had fallen to hell.

Thinking so many things and hiding the guilt inside when I didn't realize myself lapping in the sleep.

"why did u sleep? Punishment time baby!" She said and smirked evily.

"No mom pls" He begged crawling back.

"U didn't do the work I said instead u sleep?" Her eyes were red completely, threatening him to kill.

"Pls mom... Sorry"

"I think u love to take the punishments" She talked like a mad.

"No mom... Sorry... I'll do whatever u say...."

"That u shall definitely do after the punishment u receive"

"No... No....!!! Aaahhh"

The sounds of belts were covered by his screams... The iron nails fixed at it's tip throbbed his skin tearing the flesh....

I woke up seeing the scene again! Not only today but every night these memories haunt me as my nightmares. Not a single night led me to sleep peacefully. But yesterday it was different when I slept in Mili's arms. I remember, I was crying silently and she came beside me, keeping her palm on my shoulder she assured that she was there with me. I hugged her abd we both laid on the bed. I couldn't sleep and kept on tossing while she held me and turned towards her. She wrapped her arms around my torso and buried her face in my chest. I was shocked.

"I can't sleep without my pillow. So be my one for tonight" She said and slept.

I too slept holding the princess in my arms. I slept peacefully as no nightmares haunted me.... After years! A peaceful sleep that I forgot to have ever!

So, I decided to have that sleep again....

(Mallika's side)
I was at my study desk.... Checking out some notes. It was when my concentration was disturbed by some sounds in the bathroom!

What's there??!!

I went there and opened the door revealing Sumedh standing there....
"Ugh u? Here?"
I gasped.

He stepped forward with a serious face & said,
"Actually... I can't.... Sleep...."

"Soo??" I asked being confused.

"Pls cuddle me" He said and his face turned red.

Did I see that true?? 😳 His face red in blush? Oops!!! Then how could I control.... I chuckled seeing him grinning sheepishly.

"For that u came here?" I asked not able to believe.... To which he nodded immediately.

"Wow"

"I really can't sleep Mallika. My past haunts me as nightmare... I'm tired to these sleepless nights" He said lowering his voice. I understood his grief.

"Come I'll help u to get rid of these nightmares" I said and took him inside.

I laid down on bed and he placed his head in my neck. I felt uncomfortable all of a sudden. The nights basically reminded me of the terrible one I saw two days back.

"Sumedh!" I pushed him.

I saw his disappointed face but I was helpless.... But I thought to try again & took a deep breath.

Holding him tightly near me I closed my eyes. Soon I heard little snoring sounds. I saw him fallen asleep. No frowns over his forehead. I smiled that he slept without being disturbed by the nightmares. He slept peacefully.
