"Can u feel me?" He said to which she smiled.
"No. I can't feel" She said and his eyes glistened with disappointment.
"I can't feel ur pain but I can feel ur longings" She said and he stared at her with an unusual emotion.
He sat on the couch pulling her on his lap. She was unsure about doing it but then she wrapped her arms around his neck. She couldn't hate him like before anymore. It'd be an understatement if it's said that she didn't feel uncomfortable but the intensity was faded then.
"Everyone breaks my trust Mallika. Everyone does"
"But I won't.... U trusted me and opened up..." She said passing an assuring smile to him.
He smiled faintly and confessed,
"I said u everything again expecting the same from u but idk if u can do it cause I clearly have trust issues being betrayed like this"
"I understand" She said with a little bit hurt face. Then an awkward silence prevailed.
Breaking it she spoke,
"Sumi, Do u want to say anything?"
To which he looked at her in surprise. Truely he wanted he say something asif she studied his mind.
"Can I trust u?" He asked and gulped down the lumph of dilemma formed in his throat.
"No need, a time will come when u won't even realise that when u have started trusting me so deeply and u will be sure enough by urself that I shall never break ur trust." She said with a proud smile bringing the same on his face.
"I promise I shall never break it love. Just don't let everything that happened to be a lie!" She thought I'm her mind.
"I can see, that this monster has got a very beautiful smile too" She praised to which he scratched his neck in shyness.
She bursted into laughter seeing his sheepish grin. She spoke controlling her laugh....
"U couldn't sleep last night. Could u?"
To which he nodded in no. She sighed.
"Sleep then" She said.
He looked at me and placed me on the couch and laid beside me.
"I can't sleep, I'm sick of those nightmares" He said. Mallika stayed silent.
She found herself lacking in words to console Sumedh. She never faced such situations, also she was determined to cure him to his normal.
"U slept well last night" She heard him say and when she looked at him, Mallika found the cutest pout ever on his face.
Awwww!!!
"Then what should I do? Dance on ur bed? People sleep only, at night"
She said with an innocent face.
"Nope, better u dance on my lap cause I know how to stop" He said and smirked at her.
"Eh-? Chi chi... What a dirty mind"
She scowled at him with an angry yet cute pout.
"What? I was thinking to push u on the floor and u would have become an omlette over there" He said and teased her showing his tongue.
"whatt??? Hawwwww!!!" She exclaimed with her big doe eyes spreading in wonder.
"Yaaaaaa." He squealed and was rewarded with a few punches on his chest.
"Are....ouch....ya...are....stop" He said and held her hand.
"Huff!! U monkey" She scowled again but he smirked at her.
