"Papa" we both called in unison then looked at each other.

So the guy standing beside my father was her papa! Shit! What a blunder....
Mallika caught my arm in a tight grip. I felt her body shaking in fear. I was getting very negative vibes. Idk about my father's reaction because he has always been neutral or better to say I was unable to read him. But being a father of a girl, like Mallika or whoever it is a disappointed to see his daughter sleeping to close with a stranger!

Fuck my fate! What a bloody blunder!

And as expected my father was standing there still but a pinch of surprise on his face.

"Papa..."

"I didn't expect this from YOU Mallika. I thought I was ur best friend and I knew ur every secret. I'm sorry but the more is hurting me that u have hidden something from me than I'm seeing u like this with a guy"

Her father said and she stayed silent. I heard their conversation. Her grip loosened over my hand.

"Sorry papa" she whispered again this time her voice cracked. Is she crying?? May be yes bcs she loves her father the most.

"Princess I trust u. I know the person u have chosen because u must have seen something unique in him but I deserved to know" He said in a disappointed tone. He wasn't rude but hurt by her silence.

"Sorry papa. U weren't here.... And I went with the flow. Papa i told you about the guy, he is the one. I never thought that we'll end up like this."
She said hardly sobbing and her head bowing down not meeting his eyes.

She always used to tell me how much she respects him, loves him.

"Hm I understand. It's ok don't cry"
He said Patting her back and she quickly hugged him. He has found a kind nature, now I see from where my girl got so pure heart. From her parents who gave her every way of love possible.

"Can I say something Mr. Singh?"
I heard my father's voice.

"Sure, Mr. Mudgalkar"

"Well ..... First of all thank you so much for saving my life today." He said making me puzzled.

"Oh being a civil servent that's my duty!" Mr. Singh said with a smile.

"That's really great and good to meet and hear such a dedicated army official like you Mr. Singh" my father praised.

Truely Mr. Singh had a very strong and sincere personality.

"Thank you Mr. Mudgalkar" He replied.

"Also I must say, ur daughter has a very strong personality as u! Idk how's her nature basically but I must accept the drastic change she has brought in my son" I heard him saying.

He guessed right, Mallika was the only reason.... I looked at her, who was blushing staring at me. Our eyes locked, smiles mingling with each other's.

"Um.... I didn't get it" Her father said.

"My son, he was someone very careless and out of this world type. Had severe temper issues. But recently I've been noticing his change in behaviour. A good control in anger, trying to behave normal the way more possible! I wondered these days that how did it happen or who did it to him but I guess I got my answers today."
Dad explained him and smiled widely at me and continued.....
