At the end of the day I got to Sophia and thankfully she had the information I requested on where Adele lives and she lived not too far away from where I was living. I got home left my bag and books on my bed and grabbed my earplugs I plugged them in and headed down the road to see if Adele had spent the day at home instead of school. When I go to her house it was smaller than mine and looked old but still nice in that old but still working it kind of way I walked up to the front door and knocked a few times and waited. The door opened to reveal a tall sour-faced woman with eyes that felt like instead of seeing into your soul they were stabbing into your soul it was not a friendly look more of a hateful glare.

"Um hi is Adele home I'm a friend of hers from school but she wasn't in today I wanted to see if she was okay," I said.

"Richard, tell your sister that a friend has come to see her," Said the woman in a shrill and high pitched voice that made my blood freeze.

"Fine," Said a tall and thin boy with short pointy brown hair.

Adele came down a few moments later and ran out pushed me out of the doorway and closed the door behind her and glared at me and now she was scaring me again.

"What are you doing here?" She snapped.

"You weren't at school today so I came to see if you were okay," I said.

"So what do you care if I take a few days off?" She said.

"I care because I care about you," I said.

"I care about you tow but right now I need a couple of days to be alone and handle a few things here and no I don't need help no I don't want to talk about it and no I don't know how long it will take," Adele said.

"But if it will be the two of us then you can come back sooner," I said.

"Yeah but I don't need your help this is just something that you can't help with," Adele said.

"Why not," I said.

"Because I don't need you," Adele said.

"Fine I see you later then," I said looking down.

"See ya," Adele said as she headed back inside.

I walked home as the tears flow from my eyes I got home and went straight to my bed and lay face down a few moments later I heard my door open I just kept my face in my pillow.

"What happened?" I heard my sister say.

"Adele is being a jerk," I said into my pillow.

"What did she do?" Sam said sitting on my bed.

"She just pushed me away not directly but she lied to me and in doing so made me seem like the bad guy when all I did was try to help her," I said.

"Did she say why?" Sam asked.

"No," I said lying.

"Well then it will get better," Sam said as she left.

The next day at school I stood close to Shopia and her boyfriend as given my assumed break up with Adele I now need to have someone around that could keep me safe as thanks to the looks I got earlier I was not feeling safe alone at school.

"I don't mind keeping an eye on you but we are together and..." Justin said.

"And that is fine but I need you just for school hours after school you two can do whatever you like together," I said.

"Well as your best friend I don't mind playing bodyguard for someone I care about for a bit," Said Sophia as he hugged me.

"I got a question do you know the name of that guy you were getting the looks from?" Justin asked.

"No, but I will recognise him if I saw him again and I'm pretty sure I could pick him out so if I did you could scare him off me and with your build it will be no problem," I said.

"It's worth a shot let's go headhunting," Justin said as we got up.

The three of us go through the school and look around for the guy I saw we went through the library, cafeteria and every lunchtime club room but it was like he had disappeared.

"I don't get it we searched the whole school but I couldn't see him anywhere it was like he had just disappeared into thin air," I said.

"Well, perhaps he is like Adele you know rebellious likes to skip school every now and then," Justin said as he leans arms crossed on the wall of the library our last stop.

"Maybe but until I see him I will still need your protection so can I count on you both of you?" I asked.

"Of course," Said Sophia as she hugged me.

"Sure why not," Said Justin.

I made it to my software development class without running into him out of bad luck and I didn't see him in this class either which was good for two reasons. The first was good as it ment I could concentrate on my work and the second was good because this was one of the classes that me and Sophia did not share. I noticed that the girl next to me was looking a little shaken up just looking down at her desk like she had done or seen something that terrified her Bridgette I think her name was.

"Bridgette right?" I said.

She said nothing just flinched as I said her name and then nodded.

"You doing ok you look a little shaken up like you are scared or something," I said this time quieter to not let the others hear in case I was right.

Again I didn't get a single word she just looked at me nodded and then let a tear fall from her face.

"Hey the teacher is gone wanna go somewhere and talk about it we still have half of an hour left of class?" I said putting a hand on her back.

She nodded and then I heard her snivel I got her up and took her out of the class not caring if we were spotted I led her away to one of the girl's toilets thas was always empty at this time of day according to a previous conversation I had with Adele.

"So what happened?" I said as I put her up against the wall.

"For the past few weeks now this guy has been giving me these really creepy looks and scaring me I have never been good at telling others when I don't feel safe but he makes me feel like my life is in danger it got worse when he got my phone number and began calling me late at night and saying really creepy things to me," Bridgette said as she cried and I felt ill.
