I looked at Adele and her face showed fear, sadness and anger being with her all this time I had gotten good at predicting her next move or what she was about to do but I draw a blank from her face.
"Adele," I said looking at her worried.
"We need to talk Adele," Said the man.
"I have nothing to say to you," Adele said almost shouting.
"Well I need to say something to you," He said.
"WELL I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT," Adele said now shouting.
"I know that I have been the worst father I could have been but I have had a long time to think and now I am trying to fix everything I have done wrong and I have made some headway but your mother and you are the last things I have to fix," He said.
"Too late," Adele said scowling and running off to her room.
"Why don't you come in and we can talk about this I would like to know what's going on," I said.
"It's alright this is my fault I have to do it myself and fix it on my own no help my fault my mess my responsibility," He said before walking off.
I peeked through the crack in Adele's door as I went to see if she was okay and she was on her bed knees pulled into her chest and hugging them her head on her knees and a cold and emotionless face as she looked at nothing in particular.
"You okay," I said not opening the door anymore.
"I'm fine," Adele said.
"Really because you don't look okay," I said leaning on the wall outside her room and then slumping to the ground.
"How would you react to someone who left because he never wanted you," Adele said.
"No better than you, I will admit but I wouldn't stay angry I would like to know what he had to say I have seen it in you people can change slowly but surely they can change," I said.
I wait for about forty minutes before the door creaks open and I saw Adele very sad and crying with a tear still on her cheek she looks at me and I rise up to look at her.
"It's not him it's me after all the years he spent away I'm not ready to suddenly have a father," Adele said as she sniffled wiping away her tear.
"Don't worry I won't force you and if you decide to talk to him I will be there by your side for all of it," I said hugging her.
"You promise," Adele said.
"For now and forever," I said and I felt Adele wrap her arms around me.
I put my hand on Adele's shoulder.
"You feeling better," I said.
"Yeah much better thanks," Adele's said.
My mother called us down for dinner and I gave her a look that ment don't mention anything relating to Adele's father and she nodded before we sat down to eat.
"So hey mum the two of us have been invited to an open house party at Helen's brother's house one of those ones on the hill and we have been offered V.I.P status if we're interested and we said yes obviously," I said.
"Waite a hill house who is the CEO," My mother asked.
"Never met him so I don't know but I'll get back to you on that one," I said.
"Well do take pitchers of the inside those houses cost up to £400,000 a month you know," My mother said.
"I know that everyone here does," I said and we finished our dinner with my mother making requests of what she wanted to know about the house.
I hung out in Adele's room after that and I was on her bed as we went over her homework I was still trying to get her to be a good student regardless of all that's happening.
"So for this one you have to dived it by 3 then times it by the answer you get after dividing it by 3 see," I said giving her an example.
"Okay" Adele as she took a crack at the problem.
"Great you got it," I said as she solved the problem with ease.
"Finally but I think too much has happened to me today to do anymore," Adele said as she fell back on her bed pushed off all the books as they fell to the floor.
"I got ya," I said stretching and was about to leave when Adele grabbed my arm.
"Please stay with me here tonight," Adele said I smiled and slipped in under the sheets.
