Chapter Forty One

I was in the car with Adele and Sam in the back while I sat up in the front with Helen I needed some time from Adele as it seemed that she had taken my comment this morning to heart. Some of her ways of getting all her kissing in before the party soon became a little too much for me to handle the shower was fun but I have to say that is where I draw the line, for now.

"I have to say, Sam that scar of yours makes you look badass," Said Helen as she turned onto a fenced road.

"Thanks but please don't draw too much attention to it I would rather keep it on the DL the fewer people that mention it the less it will get mentioned and the fewer people will ask about it," Sam said as she sat back.

"Well, here we are," Helen said.

We pulled up to a beautiful house it was clear to see from the outside that this cost five times as much as what my mum and dad make I could only imagine what it looked like inside. We all piled out of the car and went up to the front door and as we knocked a man in a wight suit and bowtie opened it if he hadn't asked for our invitation then I would have mistaken him for a guest.

"They don't need invitations their names are Alyssa Adele and Samantha," Helen said stepping in front of us.

"Lady Helen my apologies I will garb your pins at once," He said and we all stepped in to wait.

"You enjoyed him calling you lady didn't you" I whispered to Helen and she giggled.

"Maby a little," She said with a smile.

The man soon came back and gave us all a pin.

"What's with the pin," I asked looking at it.

"The master said that badges would be hard to clip onto people's clothes unless they had pockets and so he came up with the idea for pins," Said the man before he went back to the door and waited for any more gussets.

As I imagined the inside of the house was incredible a nice big open space a beautiful garden one of the nicest kitchens I have ever seen it even had a grand piano.

"This is incredible," I said looking in awe at the house I was now standing in.

"I'm glad you think so," Said a man in a blue suit and tie

He came up to us with a half-full wine glass in one hand and a pen in the other and he seemed strangely familiar but I couldn't place where I had seen him before.

"Adele Alyssa Sam this is my brother Robert," Helen said and that is when I saw it.

"Hey you're the guy from the other day," I said he was stunned and then he smiled.

"Oh yes, I remember you now you were with that nice girl Sophia right she's here if you want to talk with her," Robert said gesturing to the rest of the house.

"You already know him," Helen said.

"We met a few days ago but we never guessed that you owned a place like this" Adele said.

"Well you are free to enjoy it as you like come find me later I have some guests that I feel require my attention," Robert said and he left.

I walked through the crowd of people until I found Sophia.

"When did you find out that that guy Robert was Helen's brother?" I said.

"Um, a couple of days ago, Sophia said.

"And you didn't think to tell me," I said.

"It would ruin the surprise," Justin said and only now did I realise that he was here too.

"So it was your idea," I said.

"No, but I did convince her that it was a good idea to go through with it and I am loving the reaction," Justin said.

"I hate you, anyway can you believe this house," I said.

"I know right," Sophia said.

"Well I am going to act like I am somebody tonight," Adele said as she came over.

"You are somebody you're my girlfriend and that is the most important person in the world," I said and kissed her cheek

"Thanks," Adele said.

The four of us talked and laughed for a few hours until the attention of all guessed was grabbed by Robot as he stood at one of the indoor balconies that looked over the first floor from the second and said he had an announcement to make.

"Freinds family and honoured guests some of may know that I never like to do anything halfway and for others, this is our first time meeting but you are all here and I feel now is a good time to tell you all... It's happening I'm getting married" Robert said with a smile and the room erupted into cheers even me, Sophia, Justin and Adele clapped.

"Thank you thank you but not only that my Fiancée is here with us tonight," He said stepping to one side as a woman came and stood next to him.

The woman was beautiful she looked slightly younger than him but not too young to get married I looked at Helen to see how she was feeling about this and what surprised me was that she was angry. I wondered why when Helen left the house in what I assume were tears I went after her to see what was going on.

"Helen hey you okay what's wrong," I said as I saw her in tears on a wall outside the house.

"Do I look okay?" Helen said coldly.

"Wanna talk about it if you need a shoulder to cry on," I said.

"You saw the girl my brother is now going to marry right," Helen said.

"It's hard not to," I said.

"Yeah well before she was with my brother she was with me," Helen said.

"What do you mean," I said.

"Her name is Aria and for a few months last summer she was my girl as in girlfriend as the summer came to a close she disappeared she changed her number moved houses I couldn't get to her and seeing her up there as my brothers soon to be wife was the first time I have seen her since," Helen said.

"Oh my Helen I'm so sorry," I said.

I went in for a hug but what ended up happening was Helen kissed me she moved faster than I did and before I realised what was going on her lips were on mine.

"WHAT THE FUCK" Yelled Adele and I pushed Helen off me.

"Wait please this is not what you think," I said.

"They always say that," Adele said as she turned and went back into the house

I was going to go after her but before that, I slapped Helen hard across the face with tears in my eyes.

"Hope you're happy," I said with anger and sadness.
