The Dream Team rushed to their home, George fuming as he followed Dream inside. Sapnap closed the door and leaned on it, crossing his arms as he watched the pair.

"Was what she said true?" George asked, his eyes starting to fill with tears. Dream looked at him, his mask still on his face. "And don't you dare lie to me." George said.

Dream gulped visibly and Sapnap raised an eyebrow at him. George groaned and threw his glasses to the floor, "Dammit Dream! It's a yes or no-" "Yes!" Dream cut him off.

This made George and Sapnap's jaws drop. Dream took off his mask and sighed, letting it drop to the floor, "My real birth name was Clay, it was changed to Nightmare, I was the only one who let go my birth name." he admitted.

He couldn't even look at them. He clenched his fists tight, "I was put in a trio with Cersei and Technoblade. We were the Nightmares, the things that your parents might have told you. We were the monsters that killed and slaughtered." He said as he slowly looked up at them.

"My last mission, Cersei had asked me to look for a village, where we can trade some food and clothes because we ran out. I got lost and that's when I met Sapnap and you." He said as his voice cracked.

"I stayed with you, and you both let me. I felt safe and like I didn't have to do things people told me to do. So a few days after we met, I permanently left. I rebuilt my life. Contacted my family, lived with my best friends and forgotten all of my past." Dream said as the memories started to build up in his head.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Sapnap spoke. Dream looked at him and clenched his jaw, "Because of how you two are looking at me now." He said as he gripped his hair.

"I was a monster, I killed and bathe in blood. It was something that I enjoyed doing and because I was with two of the most important people in my life, I didn't see the wrong in it. Until I met you two." He said softly.

"You showed me how there is more to life than how we were raised." He said. Geogre huffed, "If you think we're gonna think of you differently then you're wrong-" "But you should." Dream cut him off.

"That was me-" "Was you. Not anymore." Sapnap cut him off this time. George walked closer to him and cupped his cheeks, making Dream to look at him, "You're here now." He said.

Dream shook his head "I accepted her deal." He said. Sapnap snickered, "We can just not go with it-""Nightmares go with the power of words. If I go against what I agreed on we'll be hunted until we die." He said.

George looked at him, "Why would you do that? Why would you agree?" Dream sighed, "Because the moments of killing someone, having the sword on her neck, reminded me of the crimes we did. I can't go back there, I just can't and I can't let you die." He admitted, fear evident in his eyes.

Sapnap hummed, "What is there to be afraid of?" Dream looked between them, "Our time as Nightmares led enemies towards us and I can't fight them alone. I can't protect you both alone." He admitted that.

The trio fell silent until George spoke again, "Did you- were you and Cersei-" "Yes. I left her when I met you." He said. George's face showed realization, "That's why she attacked me." he said.

Dream snickered, "She's just being petty." He said. "How do you know that?" Sapnap asked. Dream looked at them with a dead expression, "Because if she was actually still angry and upset, she would have killed you straight away." He said making the two friends freeze.

Dream shook his head, he doesn't know what to expect at all and he hated it. He hated the feeling of not being in control.
