"What happened man," I ask looking at Kenzo's broken-down car.

He called me because he broke down on the side of the road. His car is old, a 1997, and I told him to get a new one, but he refused.

I've learned to hide my anger away when Kenzo romantically talks about Parisa, I left and she deserves to be happy.

"I wanted to surprise Parisa with food because she seemed a little upset when we were talking in the car before she went up to talk to Mr. Lefebvre."

"And you broke down? There's a Burger King right next to the office, you could've just gone there," I laugh.

He smacks his teeth, "Parisa doesn't like Burger King, she said their nuggets are deer ankles," he responds. Parisa does like Burger King, she just doesn't like their nuggets, "she likes their burgers," I state, "just with no onions," I continue opening the front to his smoking car.

"How would you know that," he asks crossing his arms and standing his ground.

"Because she looks like the type," awkwardly laughing he lets it go asking.

"Do you know who Dean is?"

Pausing what I'm doing I shake my head, "no clue I just know he's Mr. Lefebvre's dead son, why?"

He clears his throat and every time he does that he's about to tell me something about Parisa, "Parisa told me about how her and him used to be a thing and how he is alive."

Does she know I'm fucking alive?!

Trying to play it cool I say, "yeah okay, and?" Going back to doing what I'm doing he says, "she told me if he is alive then I'm not all hers.

Whoever that guy is I just want to tell him to back off; I like Parisa." He sounds like a teenage boy, but if that's who Parisa wants then I'll back off.

Not easily tho.

"Don't worry about it and I think you might need to get an Uber, this shit gotta go," I laugh and take out my wallet handing him some money.

"Alright, thank you, but can you pick Parisa up and drop her off," he asks sounding stressed.

I have my black suit in my car, so I guess I can, "yeah."

"I would Uber with her but I don't think $10 is enough for the ride and I can't add to it," he laughs and walks me over to my car.

It's taking her forever to come out of that damn office.

Putting my black mask on I walk up to the office, listening in on their conversation they're talking about me.

She knows I'm alive.

Pressing my back against the wall of the room I yawn. I doze off for a second.

I haven't gotten much sleep lately and this hallway is always warm.

Opening my eyes and becoming more alarmed I hear my dad getting violet with her.
