"This is our official home," I tell Hazel.
"Thank God because we move so much," she laughs sitting on her bed.
Sitting beside her I grab her hand saying, "how would you feel if your mom and I got married," I ask.
She looks at me with her mouth dropped and gets up jumping in her bed, "yes. Yes. Yes! I would love that."
Laughing I grab her by her waist and pull her on my lap, "no jumping in the bed remember, we have to go see mommy in the hospital," I stand up sitting her down.
"And meet baby sister," she asks with a smile.
Nodding my head we walk out of her room, going downstairs to the car.
Once we're inside I drive to the hospital. Parisa went into labor early this morning when Hazel was at school, and she had a fast delivery.
I had to pick Hazel up when her bus dropped her off because Parisa and I have no family to help with the kids or anything, so it worked in our favor.
I thought I wasn't going to be able to watch her give birth to my daughter.
"Dad I forgot to grab mommy's bag," Hazel says when we're halfway there.
God knows I'm tired, but Parisa told me to grab the bag. And I'm going to be dead if I come back empty-handed.
Turning the car around I drive back to our home.
When I pull into my driveway I see a car that I haven't seen before, "lock the doors I'll be right back," I tell Hazel and gets out of the car.
I bang on the car window and when the person gets out I'm livid, "what do you want, Loren?"
"I want to see my daughter," she cries and follows me to my front door.
Walking inside of my house I grab Parisa's bag and walks right out, making sure to lock my door. She'll probably steal everything if I would've forgotten.
"You don't have a daughter, you let that go the moment you put her up for adoption," I respond.
"I had to, I didn't have money to take care of her," she continues to cry.
"Don't lie! You got so much fucking money out of me when she was staying with you, you never spent any of it on her or set it up for her future," I scream and walk to my car.
She follows me to it saying, "I messed up and I want to fix that. I want you and Haz back in my life."
I wouldn't consider being with this woman again.
Biggest mistake of my life.
"First, I'm with someone else. Someone I've been with for years. Second, Hazel calls her mom and has been for over 2 years. And Third, I have a new family. I'm on my way to the hospital to be with my future wife and new baby, so get the fuck out of my yard," tapping on the window Hazel unlocks the car and I get inside of the car.
