A/N: And we're back! Dante has a startling revelation about his parents - Ilya and Mara. The mystery continues to unfold as more light is shed on Dante's past and his future. Bron and the others returned safely, and I introduced Dante to them all. We had been keeping tabs on the progress the AIs had made in putting names to faces, processing their visas, and eventually reuniting the victims with their families all across the globe.
I was so proud of Bron for handling the situation very well. Even the triplets were impressed with my sibling's progress. Mick was still a bit apprehensive in his approach during hostile situations, but then I understood perfectly, as Mick did not come from a happy family situation either.
I was taking it easy today, watching Dante's progress in the virtual training environment. Sam had been doing some tests, with two other colleagues, whom I got to meet later in the day, when I came in to check on things.
"Can I go in and see him now?" I asked Sam, who was privately consulting her colleagues on their findings.
"Sure, Damien, go ahead. I think we're pretty much done for the day. Dante's done really well, and has improved greatly. He has better control of his unique abilities, but we've yet to find out whether that's the extent of them or if there's more. So far, we've learnt that he's telekinetic: that he's able to use his psychic abilities to control objects, alter molecular structures and even levitate them. We've also learnt that his psychic ability allows him to predict the future..." She concluded, her eyes roving over the reports.
"Wow, that's pretty thorough! Well, I've definitely been witness to some of them. There's also been a flow of energy through his emotional states...and what about his eyes changing color during hostile situations?" I asked curiously.
"Well, the range of emotions Dante goes through is a bit more intense than normal, and this surge of energy builds and builds altering his own molecular structure from within, hence the change of color to his eyes whenever he's in a powerful psychic state...and that's when he loses all control of his environment. This is what must be prevented, so that he remains conscious of who he's with and where he is at all times in any given situation..." She replied.
