Sam did not utter a single word about the new Captain America for almost two days. Sitting in the living room, Brianna could see the anguish settling into his face mixed with some regret. She was sure he was feeling betrayed as well. She watched helplessly as Sarah yelled 'how could you let them do this' and 'what the hell you were thinking' at him for hours. She was sure his sister meant well. She was more than likely just upset. He just stood there, taking the words she said in.

It was then he decided they should head to Munich, Germany to investigate more into the Flag Smashers. While they packed, the entire flight to Washington, the drive home and the drive back to the base, Sam didn't say anything about the shield. He needed space and time to think, so that was what she would give him. Until he parked the car and didn't get out. He just stared straight ahead, blankly.

"Do you think I made a mistake?" Sam asked brokenly.

Brianna knew she had to choose her words wisely. He was in a sensitive spot and she just wanted to make him feel better. "I think you did what you thought was right. You had a hard choice to make. It isn't your fault that the government has done what they did."

"They're trying to replace Steve." He came to the conclusion.

"Possibly. Although, I think you and I both know there is no replacing him. I think it's more propaganda than anything. A way to make money." She paused. "You going to be okay?"

He nodded. "Eventually."

"Okay. Now, let's go potentially save the world again." She said and stole a kiss before getting out of the car.

She pulled her quiver full of arrows out of the backseat and slid them over her body and then grabbed the bow. Torres would be waiting inside for the both of them. As they walked through the halls to get to the hanger she could see posters of John Walker everywhere. It seemed everyone was excited for the new Captain America with the exception of a few people.

"Seems like a good guy. You met him?" Torres asked as Sam paused to look at one of the posters.

"No." Sam said. "Thanks for doing this on such short notice."

"Yeah. No sweat. I'm just finishing up the checklist. You both will be good to go once we land in Munich." Torres said before walking off.

Brianna couldn't believe her eyes when she saw Bucky walk inside the hanger. He was the last person she was expecting to see today. "Shouldn't have given up the shield."

"Good to see you too, Buck." Sam huffed as he walked down the stairs.

"This is wrong." Bucky spoke lowly.

Brianna stepped in front of them, but her eyes were on Bucky. "We can't do this right now, okay? Sam and I have work to do. I get you're upset, but there is a time and place for discussion. This isn't the time."

"He didn't know that was going to happen?" Bucky asked.

"No, of course I didn't know that was gonna happen. You think it didn't break my heart to see them march him out there and call him the new Captain America?" Sam told him.

Bucky shook his head. "This isn't what Steve wanted."

"Oh, my God. So, what do you want me to do? Call America and tell 'em I changed my mind? Huh? Yeah, right. It's a great reunion, buddy, be well."

"You had no right to give up the shield, Sam."

"Technically, he did. Steve did give it to him. And where is Steve now?" Brianna asked as she threw her things in the back of plane. "I'll tell you where he is. Not here."
