While Brianna wasn't too sure about Sharon or her intentions, she was thankful for the connections the woman did have. It enabled them the ability to possibly find Karli and give Sam the opportunity to talk to her. Bri also wasn't sure about Karli. She knew Sam was good at connecting with people, but did she want a connection? Did she want to talk? Was she willing to change her ways? If a person didn't want to change there was no reasoning with them.
"Karli Morgenthau is too dangerous for you guys to be pulling this shit." They heard John Walker's voice as they walked down the street.
Brianna groaned internally.
"How'd you find us?" Bucky asked annoyed.
"You think three Avengers can walk around Latvia without drawing attention?" Lemar asked.
"No more keeping us in the dark." Walker said as he descended the stairs. "You could start by telling us why you broke him out of prison."
"He did that himself...technically." Bucky told him.
Walker threw his hands in the air frustrated. "This better be an unbelievable explanation."
Sam stepped forward between Bucky and Walker. "Hey, take it easy before it gets weird."
"I know where Karli is." Zemo spoke up.
Walker stopped Zemo from moving. "Well, where?"
"All we know is, it's a memorial. So, we're going to intercept her there." Sam explained.
"That means civilians. High risk of causalities." Lemar said.
Brianna shook her head. "No. Those people are her people. She won't hurt them. She's protecting them."
"We can't be so sure." Walker said. "We'll move in fast, take her by surprise."
"No, I wanna talk to her alone. I'm not losing her again. Look, the person closest to her died, she's vulnerable. Now is the best time to reason with her."
Sam said as they kept walking.
Walked shook his head and stepped in front of them. "What? No. Wait, no! No! Stop. Hold on. Stop, okay? I think we're way past reasoning with her, unless you forgot that she blew up a building with people still in it."
"Sam," Lemar said. "You walk in there cold, she could kill you."
Brianna swallowed dryly to herself. She hadn't quite thought of how dangerous Karli was. The only other super soldiers she encountered were good people.
"If I go in hot and the op goes wrong, more people could die." Sam argued.
Walker turned to Brianna. "You're going to let someone you care about do this?"
"I trust Sam. This is his forte. Yes, I would rather him have backup, but...I trust him." She said sincerely. "Just...give him a chance. Please."
Walker's eyes narrowed at her for a moment, but then he squared his shoulders back and started walking. Sam shot her a quick wink before they also started walking towards the location. She hoped she was right. She hoped that Sam could work his magic and fix the whole thing. The supposed location was inside what seemed to be an abandoned building. It looked to be some old factory.
"Hey, you got ten minutes." Walker told Sam as he handcuffed Zemo to a bar.
"Sam," Brianna stopped him before he walked inside the building. He turned to look at her. "Be careful."
"Always." He said with a smile.
She leaned against the wall, next to Bucky, and kept her eyes on Zemo. She was waiting for him to betray him. Though, she didn't know how much he could betray them since he was handcuffed. Occasionally, she would glance at Walker who looked uncomfortable. He would either shake his head, talk to himself or pace around the space they were in. He seemed...off.
