When Brianna was on the run with Sam, Steve, Natasha, and Wanda, it wasn't easy. The places they stayed at weren't the best. Most of the time they all had to share one hotel room. The food they ate was usually garbage. Sharon's living situation was quite the opposite. Brianna was impressed when they walked inside the mansion that she had worked to acquire. She had been expecting Sharon to stay in some shabby apartment.
"Looks like breaking all those laws is treating you well." Sam said as they walked through her vast art collection.
"I thought if I had to hustle, might as well enjoy the life of a real hustler. You know how much I'll get for a real Monet?" Sharon asked.
Sam chuckled. "Deactivate your hustle mode. You sell fake Monets."
Brianna stopped to admire a Monet painting called 'Woman with a Parasol.' She took in the greens and blues of the background and at the woman who seemed to be looking into her soul. It didn't take her long to realize that painting wasn't fake. "Sam, these are real."
"What?" He asked.
"I took an art class in college briefly. These paintings and most of the ones in here are real. Museums hardly keep real artwork." She explained as Sharon lead them to another room.
Brianna wasn't quite sure what the purpose of the room was, but all it had in it was a large couch as well as a rack full of miscellaneous clothing. She took a seat on the couch, opposite of Bucky who had changed into a black t shirt with a black jacket over it. She watched Sam from the couch as he removed his suit and rummaged through the clothing.
"Much better." Sharon said with a smirk as she walked past a shirtless Sam.
Brianna shifted uncomfortably on the couch. She wasn't the jealous type, but she also wasn't a fan of other women practically hitting on her boyfriend in front of her. She knew Sam could see her stone cold glare even if she was fighting to hide it.
"What's going on, Sharon? You don't ever wanna come back home?" Sam asked.
"They'll lock me up if I step foot back in the States. Madripoor doesn't allow extradition." Sharon informed him.
"Look, I'm sorry I didn't call, but after The Blip and the chaos, I just..." Sam trailed off.
Sharon sat on the couch next to Bucky. "Look, you know the whole hero thing is a joke, right? The way you gave up that shield, deep down, you must know it's all hypocrisy."
"It's not a joke that our friends died. Good friends." Brianna said with snippy tone. She knew Sharon got screwed over, but she still didn't think she should bad mouth the Avengers. Especially after everything they had done.
"He knows. Deep down..." Zemo have his not wanted opinion.
"By the way, how is the new Cap?" Sharon asked.
Bucky groaned. "Don't get me started."
"What?" Brianna asked Bucky. "He's not that bad. He could be worse. I just think he has a lot of pressure on him."
"Mmm, I forgot. Brianna likes to see the best in everyone." Sharon said and turned to Bucky. "Please. You buy into all that stars and stripes bullshit. Before you were his pet psychopath, you were Mr. America! Cap's best friend."
"Wow. She's kind of awful now." Bucky said.
"Karli Morgenthau and at least seven others have taken the serum." Sam told Sharon.
"You guys should really stay clear of this, for your own safety." She warned them.
Sam folding his arms along his chest. "We know it's a risk, but we won't leave until we find the one who cracked the code. We got a name. Wilfred Nagel."
