Sunlight filtered into the bedroom. Brianna reached out next to her blindly and found the bed empty. She sat up confused, but felt herself relax when she saw Sam sitting at the edge of the bed. He was hunched over slightly and she could see the tension in his back. She pulled the blanket off her body and sat next to him. She reached down and looped her fingers through his. He kissed the top of her head and sighed.

"Do you think I could be Captain America?" Sam asked quietly.

"I do." She answered.

He turned to look at her. "That's a simple answer."

"It's a simple question. There is no one else in this world currently that is more able than you, Sam. No one. People need you. They need you to be their symbol of hope. They need you to be their voice. You are kind and compassionate and relatable. And I am damn lucky to have you in my life." She explained further.

Sam wrapped one hand around her waist and laid her down against the bed. He began to kiss her mouth hungrily while one hand slipped under the shirt she had stolen from him. He pulled her underwear down and ran a finger against the growing wetness. He didn't want to wait any longer to bury himself inside of her, but he had to get her worked up a little. Seconds went by and he couldn't wait. He spread her thighs apart before pushing himself inside of her.

"I can't wait to make you my wife." He whispered into her ear. He didn't allow her to speak. He just began to move inside of her and it was all over.

Brianna laid in bed for longer than necessary, but at the same time she needed time to recover from what Sam did to her. Hours later and the memories were enough to make her run downstairs and drag his ass back up to the bed, but she couldn't. She had a plan and she also needed to pack. She had to return to DC to deal with a few things SHIELD had sent her. Just because she was off on a mission didn't mean her workload stopped.

When she finally went outside, she found Sam and Bucky outside, tossing the shield around. Sarah was sitting on the front porch watching them. Brianna sat down next to her and watched for a few minutes before turning to Sarah. "I have a request."

"Okay." Sarah said.

"I need you to go somewhere with me." Brianna told her.

Sarah raised an eyebrow. "Are you pregnant?"

"No. Gosh no. I just need your opinion on something. Only if you're not busy." She said.

"That's fine. Just let me grab my bag and car keys." Sarah told her.

She walked over to Sam as she waited for Sarah to come back outside. "Hey, I'm going to go spend some girl time with Sarah. I won't be long. Promise, but I have a flight to catch tonight."

"Umm, okay. Have fun?" Sam said, not sure how to take the fact that his sister and girlfriend were about to be alone together.

"We will. Love you." Brianna said before giving him a small kiss.

"Love you too."

"I'm confused." Sarah said as they drove down a long driveway. "Where are we?"

Brianna parked the car outside a house situated on stilts. In front of the house were the marshes that lead out to open water. To one side of the house was a large dock with a built in picnic table that was covered. On the other side of the house was a small beach, maybe 20 feet long. It would be just enough for some chairs. Around the driveway was a large yard, perfect for kids to play in. Brianna got out of the car and smiled as she felt the warm breeze against her face.

"This is my house." Brianna finally said.

Sarah looked over at her confused. "Your house? I didn't know you had a place down here."

"Well, I just bought it last night. I haven't technically signed the papers yet. I will when I get to DC, but I wanted to get your opinion on it." Bri told her.

Sarah didn't say anything. She just nodded her head and followed Brianna up the stairs. She punched the code in and opened the door. It needed some work, but Brianna didn't mind. She knew Sam wouldn't mind either. It was an open concept which she loved, but it didn't feel too large. The walls were made of a old shiplap. The paint was peeling, but it could be painted at a later date. To the left of the door would be the dining room which would be big enough to hold both of their families. To the right was the living area and kitchen.

"It's has three bedrooms. Two bathrooms. Umm, let's see..." Brianna trailed off. "The view is just breathtaking. I can already imagine us watching the sunrise and sunset. It needs work, but the idea of a fixer upper seems fun. We'll obviously keep the house in DC, but I want to have a place of our own when we visit. Especially when we have kids."

"Bri." Sarah stopped her.

Brianna thought she was mad at Brianna or that she said something wrong. That was until Sarah wrapped her arms around her tightly. The hug was over as soon as it started. Sarah pulled back with wide eyes. "I'm sorry...That was uncalled for."

"No, it's fine." Brianna assured her.

"It's just," Sarah paused. "All Sam and I's parents wanted for us was to be happy and to share life with someone who made us happy. And that happiness is you. Sam, he's so in love you and you're so in love with him. I'm just...I'm happy to have you in our lives."

Brianna could feel herself tearing up. It was all she ever wanted. A man who loved her and a family who loved her as well. She was already seeing Sarah as an older sister figure. "Thank you, Sarah. Your words mean a lot to me. Do you think Sam will like it?"

"I think he'll love it."

"Good. How about he head back? I've got to get to the airport. Just, don't tell Sam about this. Not yet. Please?"

"Of course."

Brianna didn't want to leave Sam, but if she didn't, Fury would surely fire her. She knew Sam was strong and capable of fully becoming Captain America, but she wanted to be there. She wanted to support him. She wanted to be the person he wrapped his arms around when it got hard. However, she knew he wasn't alone. She knew that he had Sarah and that he would be okay.

"Text me when your flight lands. I don't care how late it is." Sam told her as they stood outside of the airport.

"I will. Promise. Just keep me in the loop." She said.

"You know I will. Keep your phone close." He said and handed her bags to her before stealing a kiss. "Oh, you never told me what Sarah and you were doing."

"You will know when I'm ready to tell you. Have some patience." She teased with a smirk.

"You're awful, but I love you."

Brianna smiled up at him. "I love you too."
