"You look ecstatic." Sam told Brianna as she climbed out of her car. "I promise you, it won't be that bad."

He was referring to the fact that she would be jumping out of a plane today. She had jumped out of a helicopter before, but that was at a much lower altitude. This would be a different story. For a week she trained rigorously with the Air Force and Sam. She had to learn everything she could. The call signs, hand signals, different weapons they used. Her body had to be conditioned more than it already was. It was tiring, but she did actually enjoy it.

Today, would be her final day of training. She would only be required to do two things; jump out of a plane and ride inside an F-15. The second option sounded much more fun to her, but that would be last.

"That's easy for you to say. You're the guy who is used to flying around all the time." Brianna shot back at him.

"I'll be up there with you, don't worry." He assured her, but it wasn't helping.

"What if I fall?" She asked while they maneuvered through the hallways so they could get to the tarmac where a plane awaited them.

He held the door leading outside open for her. "Bri, you're suppose to fall. That's the whole point of the training exercise. Just keep your breathing steady. If anything happens, I'll catch you."

"You can't hold me, Sam." She scoffed.

"Okay, so I'm not a super soldier," he said which made her shoot him a look. "But I assure you, I can carry you. You weigh like what? 130?"

Brianna chuckled. She wished she weighed 130 pounds. She shook her head at him as they approached the flight team. "Men...."

"Men?" Sam asked, confused. "The hell does that mean? Men."

Brianna just ignored him. She found it comical that one little word caused him to be perplexed. She forgot sometimes how easily men could be confused by the way a woman spoke. It was as if they spoke a different language.

"Morning." Blane greeted the both of them. "Put these on and grab a backpack. Make sure you check your parachute and altitude monitor over."

She took the army green colored fight suit from him and eyed it curiously. It wouldn't be the most fashionable thing she had worn, but she was sure it served it's purpose. She pulled it on over her tennis shoes, workout leggings and t shirt she wore. It was breathable and actually more comfortable than she thought it would be. Afterwards, she walked over to the table where a few backpacks laid.

She slipped a com into her ear so she could be able to communicate in case something went wrong. She had used parachutes a hundred times, but they always made her nervous. She knew she had more of a chance of getting killed in a car accident than her chute failing to deploy, but it still didn't ease her fears. Every parachute had an emergency one that could be deployed if something went wrong with the original one.

After she checked the parachute, she slipped the backpack on and positioned the altitude monitor to where she would be able to see it. Sam had a different back pack on that contained his Falcon wings. The only other people aboard the plane were young recruits. They all eyed her wondering why the hell two Avengers were on their plane. Some were excited though.

The plane rumbled to life beneath her feet while she took her seat. Next to her laid her helmet and goggles which she went ahead and put on just so she could be ready.

"You talk to Bucky recently?" Sam asked as the plane ascended into the air.

"I actually saw him a week and a half ago. He's seems to be doing okay. I keep telling him he needs to go out and socialize." She replied.
