Berlin, Germany
The last time Brianna had gone to a prison was when she was actually in prison herself. She wasn't exactly keen to go back to one. She was especially not keen on seeing Zemo, the man partially responsible for her imprisonment as well as the two years she had to be on the run. She didn't like Bucky's idea, but she knew that it was possibly the only way to get the answers they needed.
"I'm going to go in alone." Bucky told them.
"Why?" Sam asked.
"You two are Avengers. You know how he feels about that." Bucky pointed out.
Brianna put her hands on her hips. "And you're a super soldier. We know how he feels about that as well."
"But, he's obsessed with Hydra. We have history together. Trust me. I got this." Bucky said a little bit too confidently.
"I don't like this. He's too...confident. Even for Bucky." Brianna admitted to Sam while Bucky walked away.
"I know, but we don't really have many options at this point." He told her. He noted the shifting in her eyes. The way her lips were set in a firm line. "Hey, what's going on in that pretty little head of yours?"
She sighed deeply. "This feels like...old times, you know? Missions with Nat and Steve and Wanda. I enjoy part of it, of course, but..."
"But..." he waited for her to finish her sentence.
"But, I felt like I was caught in limbo with Steve. If that makes sense. Yes, we were together, but we weren't together. I just don't want us to turn into that."
"Hey," he whispered softly and took her face in his hands. "That's not going to happen. I promise. I know things are crazy right now, but you aren't going to lose me, baby."
"Alright, love birds." Bucky interrupted. "Let's go."
"Go?" Brianna asked as she began to follow behind him.
"Yes. I have a plan." He told them.
Sam looked at Brianna unsure and then back to Bucky. "Care to share with us?"
Bucky was quiet. And that scared the hell out of her. She knew he was too calm as they walked down the side of the road, making turns at weird spots. She especially knew when something was wrong when he lead them to what seemed to be an abandoned warehouse and punched a code in.
"Bucky, where the hell are we?" Brianna asked.
"A place." He informed her as he turned the lights on and revealed that the warehouse was not abandoned. Computers, desks and files filled the room. There were even random cars. "I want to break Zemo out of prison."
"What are you talking about? You wanna break Zemo outta jail? Where are we, Buck? Have you lost your mind?" Sam asked as he looked around.
He stopped to look at them. "Look, we have no leads. No moves. Nothing."
"What we have is one of the most dangerous men in the world behind bars." Sam said.
"We also have eight super soldiers on the loose."
"He's going to mess with our minds. Especially your's." Sam paused. "No offense."
"Offense. Super Soldiers go against everything he believes in. He is crazy, but he still has a code."
"I've been on the wrong side of that code and so have you. He blew up the UN, he killed King T'Chaka and framed you for it. Did you forget that? You think the Wakandans forgot about it? It's a rhetorical question. They didn't. I know why this matters to you, but it's pushing you off the deep end."
