Nick pov:
"Just the fact that you are some massive jock." He told me. I held my hand to my chest and gasped in a jokingly matter. He started to laugh which made me laugh. There was something about seeing him laugh that made me happy. We made our way to the end of the wharf and sat down, our legs dangling of the side.

"So you ready to swim?" I asked him, he nodded and looked down at the water. I stood up and took my shirt off and waited for him to do the same but he just kind of sat there. The anxious look on his face that I had saw all day returned and I immediately became worried. "You don't have to if you don't want to!" I reassured him.

"Uh... can I just wear my shirt?" He asked me. My eyebrow furrowed but I nodded my head in reply. Was he still uncomfortable around me? We made our way to the end of the wharf and just stood there, the wind started to pick up and the sun was starting to set. "Maybe this isn't the best idea." He said looking down at the small waves the crashed against the wooden legs of the wharf.

"It'll be fine." I told him. "Let's play rock paper scissors to find out who goes in first." I suggested. In all honesty I was also nervous, but only because it was February and it would be really cold. We held our hands out and counted down, somehow Charlie won and I groaned while he laughed. "Best out of three?" I asked and he just shook his head.

"Nope, you lost now get in the water, jock." He teased and I got ready to jump in, but then an idea popped up in my head.

"Okay, okay." I said before starting to jump but grabbing Charlie as well. We both fell into the water with a loud splash and the water was freezing. As we made it up to the top of the water he splashed water in my face.

"What was that for?!" He yelled and we both started to laugh. We were both treading water and laughing was distracting us a little bit as I got water in my mouth, that I immediately spat out.

"That's what you get for calling me a jock, you nerd." I told him and he just splashed more water in my face. I put my hands up to protect my eyes from the freshwater.

"How dare you." He said. We continued laughing and once we finally calmed down, just swam in comfortable silence. Until I heard Charlie shriek and I looked over in his direction confused. "Something just touched my leg, I'm out." He said before making his way to the ladder on the side. I cracked up laughing and he chuckled a little bit. I went up the ladder as well and watched as the water dripped off of us and on to the wharf floor.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you that we have these giant trouts that come here in the winter." I told him in a teasing voice.

"Ewww." He said and I laughed even more. I noticed that he was shivering, and so was I, we hadn't bought any towels down before hand.

"Hey, lets go inside and get changed." I told him and he nodded. "I'll race you." I said before taking off in a run towards the house.

"Oh, you'll race me?" He said in a cocky voice and immediately started to run after me. He reached the house first and just smiled at me. "Okay, okay, you win." I said while panting, trying to catch my breathe. He was barely even breathing heavy, what the hell. "How are you so fast?" I asked him as I caught my breathe.

"I don't know." He said while shrugging. We walked into the house and ran to our room, to try not to get the house that wet. When we reached our room I almost slipped over on the wooden floor, causing Charlie to laugh. There was already two towels on the bed that my grandparents must have given us, so I took one.

"Alright, I'll get changed in the bathroom and you can get changed in here." I told him and he nodded. I got my change of clothes, which consisted my blue hoodie, some random t-shirt and shorts. I walked to the bathroom and got changed. I waited outside the room for Charlie to finish getting ready and when the door opened he looked so comfortable. He was wearing a oversized sweater and some black ripped jeans, I tried to forget it.
