Chapter Four: The Plane Ride (Part one of three)

|Sakura's POV|

I look over at the Uchiha next to me and mentally sigh. Why did this dude want us to split into groups again? And why did I agree? Hmmm oh well.

I take out one of my books and start reading it. Ugh why did I choose a horror story book. My black legging clad legs are pressed to my pink sweater as I continue reading through the first chapter.

Halfway through it I tighten my red bandana that I'm using as a headband and re-tie my bun. My golden leaf necklace shakes as I reach for my book again and continue reading.

I'm already 20 pages in and I have to bite my lip to prevent a whimper from escaping my lips.

I feel a hand strike quickly and poke my arm which makes me jump and squeak since I was reading my book.

I turn to glare at none other than Sasuke Uchiha who is giving his signature smirk.

"Don't do that." I flatly state as I put away that book and instead take out my phone.

"We should exchange numbers, as group leaders you know we should have everyone in the groups' phone numbers in case someone gets lost" Sasuke says in his usual emotionless tone.

I raise an eyebrow but obey by putting my hand out for his phone. He hands me the device and I enter my number and he does the same with my phone.

I wordlessly take my phone back from the raven and continue playing doodle jump.

One time I looked up from my device to see Karin glaring at me with so much intensity that if looks could kill, I'd be long gone by now.

The plane ride is only one and a half hours in uugghh. Behind me I hear Naruto telling Hinata all about ramen and how amazing it is. I also hear TenTen groaning from motion sickness and Neji trying to focus her on something else.

"So pinkie, what's your name again?" Sasuke asks.

Ok I'm actually surprised, Sasuke barely talks to his friends let alone a complete stranger.

"Sakura Haruno" I reply.

Before the conversation can continue the refreshment cart wheels by and the nice lady asks what we'd like.

"Coke" Sasuke simply states

"I'd like some sprite please" I smile kindly.

I almost laugh when I look over at Ino and Shikamaru, Ino has to hit him with her book to wake him up.

They both order and I plug in my ear buds. Karin is still glaring at me with her red eyes, can this ride be over yet?
