*Special* Thanksgiving

Third person POV~

It'd been around a month since Halloween and pretty much everything had been normal, as normal as it could be with four Devils trying to sabotage every romantic advance that could happen between anyone. It was obvious to everyone that something happened between Shikamaru and Ino, but they weren't a couple, more like obviously falling for each other.

Temari had also noticed their budding romance and had been increasingly annoying to the two. It was kind of obvious that Shikaino would be together soon enough. But this holiday isn't really about them, no, far from it. This Thanksgiving we'll be taking a look into the mind of Hinata Hyuuga and her little cooking misadventure with Naruto Uzumaki. Enjoy~

~Hinata's POV~

I'd been more awkward since Halloween, if that was even possible. When we split up to go trick or treating with Naruto and I, for Halloween something happened that made me very very distant per say.

~Flashback~

Things were going fine, no one has tried to scare us yet, and the candy looked amazing, but I just have this uncomfortable nagging that something would happen. Naruto had ran off ahead and I was trying to find him, but I did hear loud footsteps so it shouldn't be too hard. I was right, it wasn't hard at all, because he came crashing into me. And falling on me.

To say the position we were in was awkward would be the understatement of the year. His knees were on either side of my hips and his elbows were on either side of head. I expected him to get off immediately to gather the scattered candies that littered the ground, but instead he stared at me for a little while.

He was so close that I could see his sapphire eyes so vividly....OH NO! Am I gawking?! I hope I'm not gawking! I think I'm gawking....dang it. This was getting a bit awkward, not to say that I didn't like the po- didn't like the sight of his vibrant eyes, yeah that's it.

With an awkward clear of my throat he blushes a little and turns back into his loud self as he gathers up his candy.

How strange....

~Flashback Over~

But anyways, I was in charge of cooking the meal and for some reason the others thought it was smart to put Naruto in charge with me. Of course I lov- LIKE spending time with him, it's just he may eat all the food before anyone else can eat some.

Anyways I was stirring up some ramen as a side dish when Naruto started to talk.

"You know Hinata I've tried a lot of different types of ramen, but I want to try some of your ramen." He looked at me intently.

I pull out two small bowls and ladle in some of the ramen whilst resisting the urge to blush...he wanted to try my cooking. I hand one of the bowls to him before I swallow my own.

"It's okay...." He begins

My heart sinks a little, I'd never heard him criticize any type of ramen before....

"O-oh! I-is it to salty? Not enough salt? O-or maybe the noodles are underdone. A-are the vegetables to mushy?" If you couldn't tell I was panicking

~Third Person POV~

As her heart was pounding she was more nervous than she'd ever been around the blond. If he didn't like her cooking he probably thought she'd make a bad wife? Right? But said blond wasn't under the impression that her cooking was awry, it was actually very good, but was missing something, and he knew what that something is.

Before Hinata could continue her babbling she gets cut off by a pair of lips landing on hers. No matter how many times she had dreamt of this moment throughout the years, how she could word for word describe how his mouth felt on hers, she couldn't even begin to fathom how good it actually was in comparison. Despite her usual shyness she surprisingly reacted quick to the kiss, convinced that it if it was a hallucination she'd make the most of it.

For once they could both savor Naruto's time of silence.

"It tastes much better now." Naruto licks his lips as he pulls away slowly.

All in all Sakura had to take over cooking because Hinata fainted.
