Chapter Eleven: Letting it Slide, And Slip n' Slide of Course

*Hinata's POV*

To be honest the next morning I was still a little upset at what Sasame and the other girls did to TenTen, Sakura, Ino, and I. I mean, we didn't do anything wrong so why did they betray us? Oh well, maybe they're just like TenTen who likes to play pranks often, I'll let it slide, they were probably just having their own way of fun.

Today wasn't a competitive activity game but the teachers were setting up a large Slip n' Slide going down the beach, but much like the water balloons, instead of water is was a whole bunch of paint. It was also all already set out so that the paint fumes dissipated into the ocean air so nobody got sick, or intoxicated.

So that's what our group planned to do, we had decided since we were all currently eating breakfast.

"So. What exactly happened yesterday? It wasn't part of the plan to turn on teammates." Neji says while ripping a piece of toast off and putting it in his mouth

"U-uh Neji-Niisan I think t-that they were just trying to have f-fun. That is why the t-teachers brought us here, to e-enjoy ourselves. And that w-was just their way of doing it p-possibly." I stutter out, making Sakura almost choke on her walnut parfait

I think she was so surprised because I stuttered quite a lot when I said that. You see, a few years back Ino, Sakura, and TenTen brought me to speech classes and social activities so I got over my stuttering problem. The stuttering went away but I'm not outgoing like the other girls, I guess that's just how I am.

I'm fact I was only stuttering because Karin, Temari, Sasame, and Lilly really put me on edge. I don't know why but I just get bad vibes.

"Yeah, we were just having fun, besides we won anyways so what's the difference?" Karin says while putting a whole stick of bacon in her mouth.

I see Neji about to retort something but I give my cousin a soft look in which he doesn't start an unnecessary argument.

"So wanna go out to the BEACH AND HAVE FUN IN THE SLIP N SLIDE NOW?!" Naruto exclaims excitedly while placing his eleventh empty ramen bowl to his already tall pile.

"Yeah, it's probably set up by now and we don't want to wait in a long line" Ino stands up and after we put our dishes away we all head down to the sandy Oceanside area.

We're lucky that the line isn't to long so far, meaning we get a spot relatively near the front. I smile at the long plastic fixture that is now colorful because of the many pain buckets spread on it. I almost laugh when I see that Guy-Sensei made a pyramid out of empty paint buckets and was doing his many poses at the top, it was a fairly tall pyramid as well 0.0

Ino came up with the idea for our team to wear white T-Shirts and or tank tops so that after sliding we'd have a colorful mixture on our tops and white shorts. Soon enough TenTen, who was in front of me, was putting on the protective goggles and sliding down into the wet paint. Next was me, going second to last in the group with Sakura behind me.

I slide on the goggles and lunge into the colorful array of wet decorative supplies, making me give a squeak at the unexpected coldness. When I come up at the other side my white tank top and white jean shorts are soaked through with colorful neon paints, including the tips of my hair which I'll have to wash later.

I turn around to give the goggles to Sakura when I see the pinkette is no where to be found.

"Guys!" I panic "where's Sakura?!"

Ino stares wide eyes and starts looking around. No one seems to notice the smug grins across the faces of Karin, Temari, Sasame, and Lilly.

We had a missing cherry blossom.

"What a drag"

Okay updates for dayz, not really since I only update once a week, and sometimes a little over a week. But y'know whatever. I hope you liked this cliffhanger, ending with Shikamaru being Shikamaru of course. Oh also please don't do the paint slip n slide at home because I'm pretty sure it's not safe because of the fumes, I only made up the concept because I wanted something different besides water to spice up the regular old Slip n' Slide. The fumes most likely will not dissipate into the air but will be highly strong she to the fact that multiple paint buckets are used, if you inhaled to many fumes you could vomit, get headaches, or get intoxicated (high) which we do not want. So ya, happy wattpadding!
