~Chapter Two~ Its Just a Simple Question

Day 2

Have I ever mentioned that I'm not a morning person?

Well, I'm not a morning person.

Gasp, surprise right? Shouldn't I be up and early to do my makeup?! Hell no. Sleep is your natural makeup, embrace it. You have to enjoy it while it lasts, especially if you have roommates like mine.

"INO GET YOUR ASS UP BEFORE I ROLL YOU TO OUR FIRST CLASS IN A WHEELCHAIR!"

"SHUT UP BILLBOARD BROW IF YOU LAY A FINGER ON ME YOU'RE GOING TO THE HOSPITAL ON A STRETCHER!"

I really don't know how we haven't gotten kicked out of the dorm yet. It's honestly a miracle.

"Hey since it's been memory lane in the past day, remember how you'd always call Shikamaru a lazy ass pineapple? WELL YOU ARE THE LAZY ASS RIGHT NOW!" Tenten slams the soft pillow onto my face, inciting a groan from me.

"I HATE YOU ALL!" I shout in frustration.

"RIGHT BACK AT YOU!" Tenten and Sakura respond.

With a small chuckle I roll out of bed and slowly crawl across the ground to my closet. Just an FYI, our mornings are usually like this.

"Does anyone else even live in the dorms? How have we not gotten complaints?" Hinata asks.

"Thick walls?" Sakura suggests, sipping an energy drink.

"I swear to god Sakura, your dentist is going to murder you." I hiss, making a grab at the bottle.

"Oi, I brush my teeth, it's all good!" She dodges under my hand and continues drinking.

"Okay well we're in class right now and it's about to start so kindly shut up." Tenten smiles innocently. Innocent my ass.

The teacher enters the room and is soon followed by the four stooges. I've never noticed just how fitting that analogy is.

And just as fate would have it, the sat in the row in front of us. Luckily thought we didn't have any exchanges throughout the first half of the period, until we had a ten minute break. Then they kinda just creepily turned around in sync.

"So what've missed these past, two, three years?" Neji asks, shifting in his seat.

"Just classwork, but I see you've been busy getting your asses kicked out of Ivy League colleges." Tenten responds.

"Ouch. In actuality it was Naruto who got us kicked, so not exactly our fault." Shikamaru defends.

"Hey!" The blond shouts.

"I'm more curious as to how you've all changed as people since the incident a few years back." Sasuke says slowly.

"Woah. That's the most you've ever said in your life isn't it? I feel blessed to have witnessed your one full sentence." Sakura gasps.

"Back to the us as people topic I believe a brief explanation is fine." I smile before beginning.

"Overall I'm the one that has changed the least, I've gotten a tiny bit more mature but that's it. Tenten is a sports maniac now, it's grown since her little weapon phase in senior year. Hinata got over her stuttering do to some speech exercises and stuff. And Sakura? Well...there's a lot. But I believe that's for another time."

"Hinata! It's great your don't stutter anymore!" Naruto grins broadly.

"Yes, thank you." She smiles in response.

"Lucky you Tenten my 'little weapon phase' is over as well." Neji smirks.

"I can still beat you any day." Tenten bites back.

I'm about to butt in my two sense, but I get a text from Sakura, I open it from under the table. It's in the group chat with all us girls.

Cherryb: When are we going to ask them? We're having a relatively normal conversation right now so why not ask?.

H-H-Hina: I'm all for it, but who is going to ask.

InoYoMind: It was TenTen's idea.

(5x2)+(5x2): Exactly. My brain did the work so now you do the talking.

Cherryb: I stg if none of you say anything.

H-H-Hina: ...

InoYoMind: Um... I'll buy you energy drinks?

               Cherryb has left the chatroom

I glance up from my device just as Sakura speaks.

"So dudes. Over summer break wanna go on vacation with us?" She simply asks.

I jumpy up from my seat.

"HOW COULD YOU SAY IT SO BLUNTLY?! NO DRINKS FOR Y-"

"Sure." Shikamaru says.

"We've got nothing better to do." Neji nods.

"Yay! Vacation!" Naruto chants.

"Hn."

We sigh in relief before Sakura speaks up again.

"Broaden your vocabulary duckbutt."
