The last few days in Tallahassee crawled by, and once Normani, Alexa and Chris had departed the days only became slower. Perhaps it was because Lauren and Camila had fallen into something of a peaceful lull, lay in bed until noon, meet August for brunch, watch cartoons, kiss until they couldn't breathe, find themselves back in bed, for less innocent reasons, fall asleep tangled up in one another, repeat. This had become routine, until the day of the art exhibit rolled around and Lauren found herself awake 6 hours earlier, staring at the ceiling, Camila's body nestled into hers, her form entirely on top of her own, arms around her neck, legs around her waist, peacefully sleeping with her head on her chest. One of the green eyed girl's hands was entangled in Camila's hair, the other running up and down the valley between her shoulder blades, her back exposed to her due to their mutual lack of clothing. She knew she wouldn't get back to sleep at this point, the sun was starting to come up and the dust particles in the air were beginning to sparkle as the morning light filtered through the still open blinds. They'd been too distracted the night before to remember to close them, but this moment was an artists dream, wrapped up in the girl you were in love with, the sparkling particles reminding you that beauty was everywhere. Lauren regretfully rolled the brown eyed girl off of her, causing the Cuban beauty to stir in her sleep, muttering something inaudible in her still unconscious state. Lauren smiled at her, leaning over to press a soft kiss to the temple of her head before climbing out of the bed, padding across the floor, to stand in front of the window, just for a moment, fully nude, feeling liberated in the fact that nobody could see her, and if they did, who was she to care. She then crossed the room to her dresser, pulling out a white dress that had been in this drawer since she was sixteen, that she prayed still fitted her more developed form. The warm water flowing over her skin was glorious, she had wanted this shower more than she had known, and so spent a lot more time in there than expected. By the time she finished massaging soap into her long hair, running soap over the contours of her body and singing at least four Disney numbers, the time was 6:53AM, and she had the overwhelming desire for pancakes. And so she tied her wet hair up in a top knot on top of her head, discarded her dress back in the drawer, dried her body and slipped on some boxer shorts and a bra before retreating to the kitchen where she would put together her supplies. Before she began to cook she ensured she'd put her Lana Del Rey vinyl on, just loud enough so she could hum along as she flipped the pancakes in the pan.

When Camila awoke, the first thing she noted, was that she was no longer nestled into Lauren, the second, was the overwhelming smell of pancakes coming from the kitchen. She smiled lazily, throwing back the curtains, admiring the somehow blissful ache of her abdominal muscles as she stood in front of the mirror, momentarily admiring the collection of purple crescents that spanned down her abdominal muscles. Camila laughed melodically, shaking her head as she pulled one of Lauren's shirts over her naked torso, sliding a pair of superhero underwear up her lithe thighs.

"Morning planet green eyes," Camila said in a husky morning tone, rubbing the sleep from her eyes as she crossed the living room into the kitchen, where Lauren was still singing along to her favorite Lana Del Rey song, her hips swinging subtly to the beat as she flipped the final pancake, shuddering when Camila's arms wrapped around her waist, a warm kiss finding the cool, freckled skin of her shoulder.

"Good Morning princess," Lauren grinned, sliding the final pancake on top of the others on a plate before turning to press a soft kiss to Camila's lips, the brown eyed girl smiling against her lips, her hands lingering on the waistband of her boxer shorts. "You're up early," She commented, stealing another kiss from her girlfriend. Lauren had noticed that the incident in the club had only made their relationship that much stronger, she knew now that Camila really was human, fully capable of making mistakes, and that she wasn't the only one capable of causing hurt to the other. She had apologized for Camila having to see her high, but Camila confided in her that honestly, she didn't mind, if Lauren was being safe, which that night... She hadn't been.
