It was June 26th. And Camila had been assigned the job of distracting Lauren until the others could somehow turn her house into the perfect party venue, there were a number of surprises lined up for the older girl, surprises that even Camila had not been let in on because their friends knew Camila all too well; She would tell Lauren in a heartbeat if only she asked. It turned out that Lauren didn't need much distracting, she'd been staring at the wall for thirty five minutes now, absorbed with thoughts of the secret she'd been harboring for last few days. Daisy had called the on Thursday morning while Camila was picking up Sofi and told Lauren that the University of Washington Campus in Seattle had offered her a transfer, and if she were to take it, she'd be back on the softball team, and Castor had a job lined up for her. It was a tempting offer, hell, it was everything she wanted, and the more she thought about it, the more tempting it became, Troy's words echoing in her head every time she thought about it. The idea that she had to live for herself, and not for anybody else. As much as she was hopelessly in love with Camila, she knew that this was the opportunity of a lifetime. And long distance worked, right? They could make it work.
"Baby..." Camila said in a hushed tone, her hands reaching forward to latch onto Lauren's exposed shoulder's, her thumbs rolling over the tight muscles of her back. "Are you feeling okay?" She asked, the rolling of her thumbs eliciting a very quite moan from between Lauren's lips, her head rolling back in submission, it felt good to have her stress released from her body in a way that didn't end with Camila in a compromising position.
"I'm perfect," Lauren smiled lazily as Camila shifted forward until her legs were on either side of Lauren's body, her chest pressed against her back as she continued to knead her shoulders, rolling out the stress induced knots in her muscles.
"You don't have to tell me twice," Camila giggled against the skin of her neck, her lips connecting with the sensitive skin at the base of her neck. "I know all too well how perfect you are," She added, kissing across the skin of her shoulder, peppering her freckled skin with affection.
"Mhm," Lauren moaned quietly, biting down on her bottom lip as Camila began to suck gently on the skin where her neck met her shoulder, her teeth grazing the skin, even if just for a second, it was enough to fuel an unquenchable fire inside of the green eyed girl. "Keep talking," She added softly, frustrated when Camila fell silent.
"I love every inch of you Lauren Jauregui," Camila whispered, each word falling from her lips between a kiss to her freckled shoulder. "I want to spend the rest of my life adoring every inch of you," She added, resting her chin on her girlfriend's shoulder.
"What if I told you- Ah never mind, it doesn't matter," Lauren sighed, running her fingers through her hair. Camila took all of Lauren's hair in her two hands, drawing it back behind her shoulders so that she could braid it.
"Hey, what is it?" Camila asked, removing the hair tie to her wrist to tie it around the end of the thick braid. She ran her fingertips over her shoulders and down her arms, her fingers lacing together with Lauren's from where they rested by her sides.
"It's nothing," Lauren lied, biting down on her bottom lip. Camila disconnected herself from Lauren, shifting until the was on her knees on the floor in front of the girl who sat on her bed. Camila looked up at her expectantly and the green eyed girl took it as her cue to speak, "What if we don't have forever?" Lauren asked, her voice cracking on the final word.
"We can't think like that Lauren." Camila replied simply, her fingers lacing together with Lauren's once more. "We do have forever. Nothing can get in our way now."
"YeahexceptforSeattle," Lauren mumbled under her breath, her words rolling together so that Camila could not hear them.
"What was that?" Camila asked, raising an eyebrow at Lauren who simply shook her head.
