Unknown: Hey Lauren, I was thinking maybe you could do with some breakfast... And by breakfast I mean space from your girlfriend, if you agree, text me your address and I'll come pick you up.

-Your Angel

Lauren smiled, the text message from the boy who had saved her life washing away all of the pain that plagued her from the events of the night before. She'd slept on the couch last night, realizing upon getting home that she couldn't forgive Camila quite that quickly for what she done. Perhaps it had only been a body shot, but it had not changed the fact that it was someone other than Lauren taking body shots of her, and as far as Lauren was concerned, that was not okay. It was early, barely eight in the morning, but she figured a little fresh air would do her good, and so she typed a quick reply to August.

Lauren: I'm at 3700 Capital Circle SE I'll be the girl dressed in all black with the raging hangover.

August laughed upon reading the message, he had been driving around Tallahassee all morning, unable to get any sleep, worried that Lauren had not gotten home safely after her ordeal with her girlfriend last night. He decided that in order to ease his mind he would take her to breakfast, perhaps there was a chance they would become friends. He arrived at her apartment twenty minutes later, climbing out of the car to approach her where she stood, at the bottom of the steps dressed in black high waisted skinny jeans and a black crop top. He wrapped his arms around her, a grin on his lips when she reciprocated the contact.

"Morning," Lauren smiled, withdrawing from her embrace with her angel.

"Did you get home okay last night?" August asked, opening the passenger door of his sleek black convertible for her. Lauren climbed in, thanking him and turning up the radio, blasting her favorite song for all to hear.

"I did... Thank you, by the way, for... The obvious," Lauren laughed as August pulled out of the parking lot of her apartment building.

"It's not a problem, saving damsels in distress is another one of my things," He chuckled, tapping his fingers against the steering wheel to the beat of the Years&Years song that was vibrating through the air inside, and outside, of his car. Lauren appreciated the feel of the wind in her hair, it washed away the pain in her head with every cool minute. She closed her eyes and leaned her head back into the seat, running her fingertips over the cool leather of the white leather seats.

"Oh really?" Lauren asked, opening her eyes into his, a lazy smile on her lips.

"Oh yeah, I do it all the time," August joked, humming along to the song under his breath.

"And there I was, thinking I was special," Lauren teased, tilting her head to the side so that she could look at the handsome stranger who had saved her last night. He was naturally very attractive, with dark hair that was pulled back into something of a man bun that Lauren noted suited him, and in her opinion, only him, his cheeks were peppered with freckles and he had a boyish smile. He dressed a lot like her, she thought, this morning he wore a plain white t-shirt and a pair of well fitting black jeans. His chin was dusted in just enough facial hair that he still looked clean cut despite his obvious wannabe-scruff look.

"I was thinking the same thing," August said, the tapping of his fingers on the steering wheel intensifying as the chorus began to sound out from the speakers. Lauren took it upon herself to sing along, capturing every word beautifully in that husky tone of hers that wrapped around each word, verbalizing each of them as an individual. August was captivated and silent while she sang, stopping to stare at her for a long moment while they stopped at a traffic light. When Lauren caught him staring, she became quiet, her cheeks flushed red as she remembered that she had not known this boy long, in fact, she barely knew him at all. "Wow.... You're-" He began, his words full of awe. "Phenomenal,"
