Lauren lay, holding her breath for the longest moment, completely paralyzed by the words she had just heard, she played them over and over in her head, as though that would confirm they were real, and not just part of a fractured dream. But the reality was, she was not asleep, perhaps Camila had been, or obviously not, because she had said it. She had really said it.

"I love you too planet green eyes."

Her mouth was dry, her chest tight, butterflies were fluttering in the pit of her stomach. Lauren Jauregui was entirely overwhelmed by the love she felt for this stunning girl wrapped up in her arms. She was holding her now as though she was the most beautiful thing in the universe, as though perhaps, in this moment, with no make up on, eyes fluttered clothes, hair sprawled wildly over the pillow, she was in excess of the beauty of the universe.

And why was Lauren reliving that moment in her head over and over again? Because Camila was miles away, tucked up in her apartment, probably with a book nestled in her thighs, drinking some hot chocolate and listening to a soft soundtrack playing the background, if Lauren was lucky she was listening to the soundtrack of her vocals that Lauren had compiled for her birthday, and maybe if Lauren was really lucky, she was doing what Lauren intended for her to do to that soundtrack, but she wouldn't get too deep in thoughts like that, the whole purpose of the trip to Tallahassee was to take her mind of the stunning brunette that ironically enough was all she could think of since she left. Most likely because two days before Lauren left Camila had whispered the words "I love you too planet green eyes," and with those words, had turned Lauren's world upside down in it's entirety..

"If you're going to cry, at least put your noodles down, you are not ruining perfectly good chinese food with your salty tears," Normani said, attempting to brighten the mood that Lauren's petulance was slowly tearing apart. Not even the presence of her younger brother was enough to irritate Lauren into her ordinary self. The one condition of the three girls staying in Tallahassee was that they had to take Chris with them, because unlike Taylor, he didn't have anyone willing to take him in for a couple of days. Taylor was staying with the Cruz's, and Chris was penned up in his room in the Tallahassee apartment playing Call of Duty online with Ethan, who he somehow managed to miss more than he missed his parents, which Lauren supposed was hardly surprising considering they'd all gotten very accustomed to their parents not being around.

"I'm not going to cry." Lauren protested, turning her attention to the marathon of 'Modern Family' they'd been watching for a steady three hours. She even found herself laughing when Claire told Luke to 'grab that little hoe' and he'd grabbed his sister rather than the garden tool, she noted that perhaps she shouldn't have been laughing at that sort of joke, but neither she, nor her friends were mad about her finally laughing.

"There's our baby girl back!" Normani grinned, attempting to pick up some of her noodles with the chopsticks she'd been fighting to learn how to use for the past twenty minutes.

"Okay Mani, you know we love you, but for the love of God just go get a fork," Alexa teased, bursting out into a fit of laughter when Normani dropped a heavy load of noodles down the front of her black, partially see through button up blouse.

"I can do this!" Normani exclaimed, trying to grab some of her noodles with her chopsticks, which she was holding incorrectly. She failed miserably, yet again dropping the noodles down the front of her clothes. "Okay. I give up." Normani sighed, staring down at her shirt in dissatisfaction.

"I'll get you a cloth," Alexa said, rising to her feet from where she had previously been laying across the couch, her head in Lauren's lap. "And then, we have some things to discuss," She announced as she padded across the open planned living room, and disappearing beyond the arch into the kitchen.
