"Fuck you!" Lauren screamed at the TV after being mauled by zombies in the Last of Us. Chris was doubled over in laughter next to her, creases forming at his warm brown eyes in his amusement.

"Lauren those are the easiest zombies in the game!" Chris laughed, turning to look at her with a serious expression before saying, "You really fucking suck at this,"

"Watch your language Christopher." Their Mother called from the bottom of the stairs where she had just appeared, a basket of laundry under one arm.

"What! Mom! She-" Chris exclaimed, throwing his hands up in exasperation.

Their mother lifted her index finger to her lips to shush him, "Enough," She said sternly, a small smile on her lips as she continued out to the utility room to place the laundry in the washing machine.

Lauren pointed to Chris and laughed at him mockingly, squealing as he grabbed the control from her, his other hand holding her arm tightly. She kicked him in the shin, achieving an offensive postion on her little brother. Chris smirked, dropping the controller to the couch as he grabbed his sister's sides, tickling her aggressively.

"Stop it!" Lauren squealed in exalted glee, her face lighting up in her laughter. She began to choke for air and he stopped tickling her, raising his hands in a surrendering fashion. "Damn right you surrender you little shit," Lauren smirked, punching him in the arm. Chris squared up to her jokingly, wiggling his chest around comically. Lauren shoved him, bursting out into a fit of laughter as he tripped backwards over the coffee table and landed on his back beneath the TV. Chris glared at her, his eyes alight with challenge as he rose to his feet, hands raised in a karate chop position. "You dumb ass," Lauren teased, mirroring his stance, lifting her leg in the air to improve the comedic appearance of their face off. The doorbell rang interrupting their face off.

"I'll get it!" They screamed in unison, Chris jumping over the coffee table as they raced toward the door, shoving each other roughly, each slipping in their socks on the polished wooden floor. Lauren grabbed for the handle at the same time as Chris, each of them wrestling to pry open the door, the door was opened to a scene of a very red faced Chris and a laughing Lauren, his arm twisted in an odd shape around hers. Normani and Alexa stood outside of the door, bags of snacks in their hands, eyes wide at the pair of siblings.

"Hey baby girl," Chris smirked, nodding flirtatiously at Normani. The dark haired girl laughed, shoving Chris out of the way as she moved to embrace his sister. Lauren stuck her tongue out at him over Normani's shoulders, causing him to raise his hands, thumbs in his ears and puff out his cheeks.

"I forget how weird your family is sometimes," Alexa teased, passing through the threshold with a bright grin on her lips, she raised her arm, bags in hand, and Lauren mirrored her actions, the pair holding one another for a long moment at the door.

"Shut up Lex," Chris laughed as she moved to pull him into an affectionate hug. Alexa had been coming to their house for the best part of ten years, Chris was well accustomed to his sister's best friend.

"Mami! My friends are here!" Lauren called out, following her friends into the living room, by now they knew the house just as well as Lauren did, and they had no reservations about making themselves at home.

"Oh man, I fucking love this game!" Normani exclaimed, grabbing the controller as she threw herself down in front of the TV, unpausing the game. She shot Lauren a dissatisfied look. "You didn't seriously die here did you?" Normani asked.

"She did," Chris confirmed, jumping over the back of the couch, his arm hitting the back of the couch behind Normani, he kicked his feet up on the coffee table casually with a proud grin.
