Chapter 2

It was New Year's Eve, and the pub was ready for the celebrations tonight, I get dressed in my dress a black and cream lace dress and black heels and I head down stairs, I'm greeted by mick telling me how nice I looked and gave me a kiss.

I carry on as usual doing what I was good at and serve the punters, till max comes in, I walk over "what can I get you" I ask him "two orange juices and a cherry for dot please"
I give him his drinks "Ellie I'm so sorry about" "it's forgotten really I'm used to it" I said brushing him off taken a massive mouthful of my glass of champagne

A bit later on I realise mick was missing, so I tipsily head up stairs and and find him, "hello mr carter" I say with two champagne glasses in one hand and a bottle of champagne in the other, "oh your not drunk as well are you"
"No not yet, tipsy though" I laugh he walks over to me "well I can't even raise a smile after last night let alone any thing else"
"Well I think that will change when you see me in the christmas present you got me" I walk of into the bedroom putting down the bottle of champagne and glasses on the night stand. I stand at the end if the bed while mick comes in closing the door and laying on the bed grabbing the glasses that I was drinking out of drinking the remaining liquid that was in there, I stand at the end of the bed and un zip my dress letting it fall to the floor leaving me in black lace underwear and my black stiletto pumps, well I'm sure you all can imagine what happened next and I will leave that to you imaginations for now.

After me and mick head back down behind the bar and getting back to business, I start serving again and I look to mick seeing him walking around the bar over to a guy, he says something to him and they leave and walk outside, I look to Tina and I quickly exit the bar getting outside seconds after mick, I see mick face to face with some guy, I wasn't sure who he was but by the looks of it mick had issues with him.
"Your not welcome here" mick said to the guy
"Says who"
"Me" the rest of us gather outside Shirley Tina and Jonny.
"Is this you back up then"
"This is my family" mick replies "what you did to my family my sister that makes me angry, so your going to leave"
"I don't take orders big man"
"Well you do now"
"I will see you tomorrow"
"Try please" mick said taking a step forward I grab his arm pulling him back mick steps back and looks at the door we all walk back in "come on Walford let's have it" mick say closing the door behind him putting his arm around me giving me a kiss walking back to the bar.
I start clearing glasses and talking to punters laughing and getting to no the locals

It wasn't long before it was a minute to midnight and I stand there behind the bar mick ring the bell "a toast everyone" I yell "here's to new friends and family, well some" and I glare at Shirley "all family" mick interrupts "here's to our boys and my boy lee, who's in Afghanistan" we all then started counting down 5 4 3 2 1 happy new year we all shouted, mick grabs me in to a hug and kisses me "happy new year, this is our year" he whispers

It's the next morning and I'm sitting across from Shirley she was sitting there with as big of a hangover as I was, mick walks through the kitchen door yelling "Tina how many eggs do you want" he walks in and smashes the frying pan down on the cooker making me feel like my head was about to crack in half, I lay my head on the table he then turns the stereo on it come on loud "turn that bloody think of" Shirley yells making me sit up "baby please turn it down" I ask "finally my two best birds are agreeing on something. Tina!!!" He yells again "where's Tina" micks asks turning to Shirley thinking she would no.

Then Jonny walks in the kitchen looking very dashing in a suit "who's died" Shirley asks him
"Err no it's Nancy's wedding today" he replies making me choke on my tea that I was drinking
"What?" I ask glaring at mick
"Err yeah" mick said leaning against the counter
"Don't you tell me nothing anymore!"I yell standing up
"Listen woman for someone with a hangover your shouting mega loud"
"mick you just seem to not tell me nothing anymore, firstly you forget to tell me about that and Tina moving in and now this"
"OI chose your words more carefully" Shirley said snarling at me
"Oh I did" I snap "no secrets that's what you always say"
"I never kept it a secret the invitation was Downstairs with the post, I just never got time to tell due to us being busy with new year.pass the post here son" mick said hand gesturing to Jonny for the post
"What do you care, she ain't your daughter" Shirley said looking under her eyes to me
"Shirley enough, she's as good as" mick said passing me the invitation
"It's not that Shirley you don't know the guy"
"What is it with this Wayne guy then he have two head or something"
"Let's just say the guy loves a mirror"
"He never leaves the bathroom" I add on to what mick said
"You don't wanna go, do ya" mick asks me I shake my head
"Are you" I ask him he just looks at me
"I do" Jonny said to us looking up "well not on my own, mum will be there though, come on dad you never missed a sports day"
"You should go mick" I mutter looking to him grabbing my cup of the table

I was bedroom watching mick get suited and booted for Nancy's wedding,
"Ellie, please come with me" he asks walking over to me
"Mick no, I'm lot going I won't be welcome not with Linda there"
"Elle I need you today, Linda will be to bothered worrying about nancy marrying this loser to worry about you being there," I look up to him and he gives me a kiss "okay, I will come, but only to stop you begging me"
"That weren't begging this is begging" he gets on his kness
"Get up you wally" I laugh

I walk out side and see mick and Jonny in the front of the car with Shirley in the back I roll my eyes getting in the car seeing lady sitting in the middle,
"OI don't push that stinking dog on me, it stinks" Shirley yells
"No Shirley that's just you hangover breath" I chuckle

The whole way Shirley bitches about everything mainly the dog
"If this dog pees on me I will kick it" she hollers
"You kick that dog I will slap you hard in the face" I yell getting in her face
Mick pulls the car over "out now both of you" he said looking at us with serious eyes that you wouldn't wanna mess with, we get out and walk to the back of the car
"Now pack it in my head is banging, oh come on girls us lot all together again, don't tell me you haven't missed it. Look this is an emotional time for a father, I need you both on side while I go and watch my daughter marry a muppet"
Jonny sticks his head out the car "we cutting it fine now"
"Alright alright Im coming" mick said looking back "look if you both don't shake hands and shut up I'm not letting you back in this motor" he yells making me feel like I was being told off by my dad

I turn to look at Shirley knowing how much this meant to mick, she turns her head "really you going to be like that, how old are you, pathetic" I said looking away
"Fine" mick said getting in the car and he drives off, "mick, get back here now" I yell
"Mick" Shirley yells
"This your thought" I snap
Shirley grabs my hand " look I'm shaking her hand look, mick" she screams
mick stops the car and we run over and we climb back in the car.

We arrive at the registry office and we get out, I look over and see a blond woman getting out a car.. Linda
"Great" I sigh quietly to myself
"Mum" Jonny runs up to her "hello sausage" she said grabbing him into a hug "mick" she smiles "what she doing here" she snaps looking to me "she's family she with me Linda, you no that" mick said grabbing my hand
Shirley gets out the car with lady "oh Shirley I should of guessed, what you stuck for work so you turnt dog walker" Linda said sticking her head in the hair, I chuckle to myself
"Come on we gotta get inside it's about to start"Jonny said walking off mick turns to Shirley "you wait here"
We start to walk and Linda starts
"This can't be the place it's disgusting here"
We get to the main doors mick turns to look at us all "are you ready for this" we all smile weakly mick grabs my hand and leads us all inside, there was loud music playing, we all walk in and I see nancy standing at the front with Wayne she looks at us all a smiles and mouths hiya, I wave and mick leads us to the seats Jonny then Linda sit down then me mick sits on the end.
They start to do there wedding vows Linda grabs my hand and gives it a squeeze which I was shocked by. I look to mick, Wayne starts looking around and all his friends is cheering him on and egging him on mick grabs my other hand a squeezes it Wayne then smacks nancy backside playfully "that's it" mick mouths he let's go of my hand
"Nancy" he said standing up walking up to her
"Dad"
"Sorry Wayne no offence or anything but it's you attitude" he grabs nancy and throws her over his shoulder
"Come on" I say looking to Jonny and Linda getting up and following mick
Everyone inside starts running after us
"Quick Linda hold the doors with me" she holds the doors and Jonny puts a broom through the door handles

We arrive back at the pub, nancy comes back with us she gets out the car and storms inside, I get out the car with the dog and go to walk in side
"Elle told you Tina could manage the pub on her own"
"Yeah it's not burnt to the ground, in the normal world it not what normal people celebrate" dropping the hint that I knew all about her and her past
