Chapter 3

I walk inside the pub and notice that Tina had opened but not cleaned up from the new year party from the previous night.
Mick drags nancy up stairs and I stand there with the dog looking around shocked that Tina could open up but not clean up first
"Tina haven't you heard of bin bags"
"Happy new you to you too"
"No seriously" I walk behind the bar "there, get cleaning" I throw the bin bags to her " I will be down soon"

I walk in the living room and listen to mick and nancy go on about the wedding and how bad of a influence Wayne is. I sit there for a few minutes and decide to head down stairs and clean up the pub,
I realise that Tina hadn't even started
"What do I pay you for" I snap
She just looks at me and I grab the bin bags and start to clean up my self.

It's the evening and it's pretty quite behind the bar, my head was still banging and I just couldn't shake it, mick comes over to me "you ok elle" he asks with a concerned look in his eyes
"I'm ok, it's just my head" I sighed rubbing my forhead hoping it would do some good
"Go get some fresh air" he suggests
"No I will be fine, I promise" I walk over and serve a lady, I get her the drinks she ordered and I turn to look at mick a girl was being overly flirty with him and he was flirting back I no it's his job to smile and flirt with the customers but for some reason I snap at him
"You know what I will leave and get that air" I say throwing a cloth at him that I just used to soak up a spillage, I grab my jacket and I walk out the pub and head off through the night, I just keep walking, not really going anywhere, I end up walking and sitting on the swings at the park, I just sit there tears in my eyes
"What the hell had I just done, I never react like that" I whisper to my self
"Talking to you self is a sign of madness" I look round and see a guy looking at me
I turn and look back to my knees ignoring him, he sits next to me on the swings
"The names Andy" the man with blonde hair said to me,
"Well hi Andy" I mutter "and you are let me guess, Ellie"
"How the hell did you no that" I sigh confused look on my face
"I just do, I know people you see, also your ex"
"My ex,"
"What, you look confused, let me refresh your memory Shane's your ex remember him" he asked looking smug
"Yes I remember him" I said looking to him my phone rings and I see it flash up *mick* I go to answer it and this Andy grabs the phone from my hands
"What the hell are you doing" I snap at him standing up
"I have a message and your going to listen, shane said hello, and he will be seeing you soon" with that this Andy guy was off leaving my phone on the seat of the swing

I pick it up and I run, I turn a corner and bump into someone, it was mick
"Elle baby, what's wrong" he said looking at me fear all over my face
I cry into his chest him hugging me kissing my head trying to give my comfort
"Let's get you inside your freezing"

Mick gets me inside and he tells me to go through and upstairs, I walk upstairs throwing my jacket over the banister, I walk into mine and mick bedroom and take my heels off chucking them next to the wardrobe, I turn around and I jump out my skin seeing mick standing at the bedroom door,

"Woah it's only me, I brought you a brandy, I no you don't really drink it but I think you need it" he said placing it on the night stand
"Thank you" I said sitting on the bed knowing where this conversation is heading
"So what happened Ellie, I've never seen you look so scared in my life"
"My past has caught up with me mick"
"past what past"
"It don't matter all that matters is that I'm going to have to go" I get up and grab a bag from the wardrobe
"Hey hang on a minute, your going nowhere baby, your not leaving me" mick said fear in his voice grabbing the bag and throwing it on the floor on the other side of the bed, "tell me what the hell is going on" he yells at me as he closes our bedroom door to avoid anyone else hearing us
"I went for a walk, I felt stupid mick, I've never acted jealous of you talking to girls, It must of been my headache making me feel off. anyway I was at the swings when a guy comes over and sits next to me"
"A guy"
"Yes a guy I've never seen him before in my life, he starts trying to talk to me, he said his name was Andy, he then told me that he new who I was. I asked him how, he said he knew people mainly one person, shane."
"Who's shane?" Mick asked me
"He is an ex. he said that shane said hi and that shane would be seeing me very soon"
"Ok so what's this shane geezer want" mick said pacing the room "what's the history elle"
I look at mick I shake my head not wanting to tell him
"On my 21st birthday, me and my friend Jen we went out to this club we met two guys one being shane and his mate I think his name was Alex, anyway we started seeing each other shane and I was going good for about year till he went all funny started doing drugs and was away a lot, I carried on working at my nans pub, just got on with life. till 4 months later when a drunk and drugged up guy comes in asking for me, I never knew him and my cousin Harry threw him out, I was leaving to go home at closing when I get dragged into a car and knocked out I end up waking up in a room hands tied together.
mick looks to me and stares at me waiting for me to finish
"Later on shane walks in and explains to me that he was in charge and that, he has been selling girls for sex, and that he wants me involved to. I told him no way was I getting into that and he said I either join him in his little industry or I'm against him and I will be left tied up so they could use me easier."
Mick gets down in front of me looking into my eyes "what happened elle"
"I got away don't no how but I did" I managed to cut the rope off my hands buy rubbing it on a sharp bit of the headboard and I climbed out the open window, I stole a near by car and went and stayed with my dad in kent for a few years. I heard from a friend that shane had got arrested for drunk driving and got caught with gear on him so I moved back, to my nans next thing I'm getting on with my old life then I met you" I said cupping his face looking into his eyes, thinking back to when I first met him.

"So what does this shane geezer want or should I say Andy why was he here, how did they find you"
"I don't no, don't have a clue Andy just said he knows people"
"Okay you get ready for bed I will go help Tina and Tracy with locking up, I will be up soon" mick kisses my head and passes me the brandy which I knock back and he takes the glass I get undressed and put my pjs on and I climb into bed just sitting there staring in to space, mick little while later walks in and climbs in to bed once he gets undressed I lay on to him and snuggle up
"Elle it's going to be ok no one will hurt you not ever" he whispers
