Chapter 6

I roll over in bed and I look at the clock it was 3:30am, I lay there and huff and I sit up I look at mick sleeping I get out of bed and grab my robe putting it on, I walk in the kitchen and grab a glass of water. I sit down and put my head in my hands what the hell am I going to do, I can't see shane letting this go, his not going to come here and have tea and biscuits with mick and talk things over.
I walk into the bedroom and put on my slippers and walk down stairs and start to tidy up all the glasses, I'm awake I might as well tidy up and prepare for opening even though its 4 in the morning. I start to polish the tables when I felt eyes on my back I turn around and jump out of my skin.
"Mick you scared the living hell out of me" I whisper not wanting to talk to loud
"Sorry, how long you been up" mick said walking over to me putting his arms around my waist as I carry on polishing the tables

"Not really slept at all been out of bed since 3:30"

"Elle, don't let all this worry you okay, there just a wannabe gangster, a nobody"
"Yeah okay, didn't feel like that when I was taken and tied up and nearly used for lots freaks pleasure"

"Look Ellie nothing is going to happen ok, nothing. you and me we can deal with anything, can't we" mick said turning me around to look at him

"I know we will be fine" I said putting on my fake smile and kissing his cheek

I turn around and look at the pub it was nearly all done mick grabs my hand "come on come back to bed with me" he said pulling me with him

We get back in our room and I get in bed and I cuddle up to mick, he made me feel safe and happy. no one ever has made me feel like this.

I wake up and find mick was gone I get outta bed and head for the kitchen
"Morning" Nancy said greeting me
"Where is everyone" I ask
"Tina is not here, Shirley isn't up, Jonny is in the shower"
"Where's ya dad"
"His took lady out, and grabbing milk"
I take a sip of orange and I hear Jonny call bathroom was free.
"I'm heading for a shower" I tell her walking out
"Elle, I know none of this is my business but Is everything okay"
"All good" I said smiling and heading in to the bathroom

I shower and wash my hair, I get out and wrap a towel around me I towel dry my hair and head to mine and micks room. Before closing the door I see lady run in the kitchen so I knew mick was home or had been home. I chuck on some pale skinny jeans and top and put on my suede ankle boots.
I grab my make up bag and start doing it. I blow dry my almost dried hair and brush it.
Then there was a knock on the door
"Elle you decent" Nancy calls
"Yeah come in"
Nancy walks in and stands at the door
"Hey when you was in the shower this come through the door for you"
Nancy pulls out a white envelope and hands it to me, I take it from her and thank her she turns around and leaves.

It didn't have an address on it it was hand posted I sit and look at it for a second and I then decide to open it.

I sit there and stare at the letter and re read it over and over again. do I show mick? I ask myself over and over. I put the letter in my pocket looking at the time on my phone it wasn't far off opening. I head downstairs and enter the bar, I look around for mick but didn't see him but see Jonny.
"Jonny where's ya dad?"
"Cellar"
I head to the cellar and see mick changing a barrel
"Mick, baby we need to talk" I said standing there
"Can it wait till I've finished this"
"Not really" I said grabbing the letter from my pocket "I got a letter"

"What kind of letter" mick asked leaning back up to look at me.
"A hand written letter from shane"

Mick takes the letter and reads it and puts it in his pocket
"Look Elle, it's just words, his trying to get you all riled up, if he shows up I will deal with him. it's time to open up"

I turn around and leave the cellar and I walk and I unlock the doors. I head around the bar and stand there big smile on my face I serve punters and the the afternoon goes ok.

It's 7 o'clock and it's just me and Tina and Jonny working the bar mick had popped out. I go out side to see if there was any glasses out side that the smokers had left out there when I gather the three glasses and go to walk inside when I feel as if I'm being watched I stop and look around not seeing anything I go inside.

I place the glasses on the counter and tell Jonny that I'm just heading outside for some air not being able to shift the feeling of being watched.
I step out side and walk in to the square and sit on the bench feeling stupid for not bringing a jacket I light up a fag and sit there I hear and recognise a car and I stand up and see mick get out,
I went to walk off when someone grabs me from behind and puts there hand over my mouth causing me to jump and drop my fag.
"Hello Ellie, take in you last image of mick, as it's last time your going to see him" said the familiar voice
I stand the watching mick walk in to the pub wearing that blue coat he looked so good in

"Come on" the familiar voice said me recognising it to be shane. nudging me to walk he nudged me to a black car and he let go of me as he opened the door I went to run in the direction of the pub I didn't make it far when I started to scream for mick hoping he would here me and it worked as I heard him yell for me
"ELLE" I heard him yell
Shane grabs me holding me and pulls me back to the car, I tried to fight with him but he grabs my head and bashes it of the side of the car as he throws me in the back of the car knocking me unconscious
