Battleborn

I walk back to my room to pack my stuff, my fingers running along the bracelet Callum gave me. He wanted to talk to me, but this takes priority. He'd have to wait to tell me for when I got back. As I walk down the halls, I spot Lyon.
"Lyon!" I call after him. He turns around to look at me, confused. I rush over to him, pulling the bracelet from my wrist. "Can you give this to Callum for me? He should be standing under the cherry blossom tree right now."
"Why can't you," he stops short when he looks at the bracelet. "Callum gave this to you?" He asks me.
"Yeah, I tired to give it back before, but he told me to keep it and now I'm going off to fight an intergalactic war." I ramble nervously.
"You're what?" He asks, completely confused.
"It's hard to explain, I don't fully understand myself." I giggle nervously, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
"I'll give it to him. Anything you want me to tell him for you?" He asks, as if he knows something I don't.
"Just that I'll miss him. And that I'll be back as soon as I can be." I thank him again before rushing to my room. I find my backpack hidden in the closet and stuff it full of stuff. I find an oversized shirt sitting there too and upon smelling it, I discover it's Callum's. I pack it with me, wanting to take a piece of here, a piece of him, with me.
There's a soft knock at my door, pulling my attention away from packing for a moment.
"Come in." I shout. Gabie walks into the room, slowly making her way towards me.
"I'm sorry for running out earlier." She speaks first.
"It's okay. I understand. You've gone through a lot recently." I walk to her, wrapping her up in my arms for a tight hug.
"I'll miss you." She says as she hugs me back, crying again.
"I'll be back before you know it, don't worry." I reassure her. She nods into my shoulder.
"You better come back or I'm going to crawl into hell and drag you back here." She jokes through her tears. I smile at her, knowing I've got the old Gabie back again. "There's something I wanna tell you before you go."
"Anything." I tell her as we sit on the couches in my room that sit close to the fireplace.
"I'm pregnant." She speaks.
"Based on the way you said that I'm assuming that isn't a good thing." I observe, subtly probing for more information.
"Gregory raped me while we were there. Lyon confirmed it this morning." She chokes on her words. I pull her even tighter to me. She's been through so much and deserves so much better. "Damon said that it's my choice. He said he'd raise the child as his own if I chose to keep it." She cries harder after saying it.
"It's going to be okay Gabie." I tell her. Truth is, I have no idea if things will be okay. I remember Gabie telling me all about how she wanted to be a mother one day. Wanted to raise kids and give them the life she wanted. She'd treat them like royalty, absolutely spoiling them. "Whatever you decide to do you have a whole community supporting you. Even if I'm not physically here, I will always be with you in spirit to support you." I tell her, pressing my forehead to hers.
"You should finish packing." She says as she stands.
"Wanna help?" I ask her. She nods, grabbing my toiletries. After a couple minutes she walks me down to the foyer. Fafnir and Willow are already waiting there for me with Simon, Damon, and Lest. Gabie gives me one last tight hug, going to stand beside her boys. I hug Lest next. "Take care of yourself and each other." I tell him as I pull away.
