Bella P.O.V

I walked up to Mrs. Gonzalez who now looks as pail as a ghost. Edward and Mr. Gonzalez are talking to the police as the paramedics take the body.

"Mrs. Gonzalez?"

She looked at me and immediately took my hands in hers. She seems so lost. "She didn't deserve this," she cried. "She was only fourteen and filled with life."

"I... I don't understand."

"She told us! She warned us! But, we thought she only wanted to get more attention..."

"Mrs. Gonzalez, what exactly happened?" I asked, stroking her hands to calm her down.

"It all started when she went to a house party at a friend's, she came back all drunk. We grounded her, of course we did. A week later she said she felt like someone was following her. He's been following her the whole... time. He follows you. He plays with your head until you lose your mind. He manipulates you."

Her swollen black eyes meet mine. I'm unable to move, my body temperature just dropped down drastically.

"He's after you," she whispered. "Right? You're going through this, too, right?"

"Who is he?" I know he's the same person, he killed Jessica, and I could probably be next.

"Listen to him, do whatever he tells you or else you'll be next!" She suddenly starts yanking my arms and gripping them hard. "He warns you! And, if you don't do as you're told, he kills you!"

"Let go of me!" I cried.

"Listen to him! Go away! Leave everyone you love or else they'll end up dead! Stay away from him!"

"Edward!" I yelled, scared. This women has gone mad, her daughter has been brutally murdered and now she's gone, too. She yanks me around, telling me to leave, to run away but she won't let go of me. "Edward!"

"Listen to him!" She cried.

"Bella!" Edward's arms warp around me and he aggressively pulls me back. He covers me with his body, prospectively, possessive, give Mrs. Gonzalez a murderous glare.

"What are you doing?! You're gonna get her killed just like my daughter! Leave her alone!" She cried.

"What?"

"She doesn't know what she's talking about." Mr. Gonzalez grabs her and hugs her. "She has severe problems."

"What... What do you mean?"

"Mrs. Gonzalez suffers multiple personality disorder," A paramedic says, walking up to Mrs. Gonzalez with the other paramedics. He pulls out a straight jacket.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"She killed her," Edward said.

"No! Let go of me! Let go of me!" Mrs. Gonzalez yelled trying to get the paramedics off of her.

No, it can't be. Mrs. Gonzalez has always been a healthy women, how can she all of the sudden suffer from multiple personality disorder? That's not possible, it can't be. She couldn't kill her own daughter, it doesn't make any sense.

They drag her to the ambulance while she keeps on yelling at me to listen to the warnings.

"Edward, it doesn't make any sense," I say.

"I know," he answers, "something is wrong in this neighborhood. Again."

"Again?"

He shook his head. "I'm taking you to my place. I'm not letting you stay here anymore."

If it weren't for different circumstances, I would argue, but he's right, I can't stay here. It's not safe. He broke in, he killed Jessica, not her mother. Edward is right, there's definitely something wrong going on here and I know it's not Mrs. Gonzalez mental health.

That night, it was hard to sleep, even if I was in the safety of Edward's house and his arms. He couldn't sleep either. We both couldn't, I mean, who could after what we been through tonight?

"I don't think Mrs. Gonzalez killed her daughter," I said, breaking the deep silence in Edward's oversized room.

"Mr. Gonzalez-"

"Edward, I might not be an expert in it but, not her own daughter... and the way we found Jessica... that could've not been her mother."

"Bella, people with that disorder are not themselves."

"But, she said there was someone following their daughter!"

"In her head she thinks there was!"

"Edward, what if not! What if the real murder is out there and it's the same one who's stalking me!"

"Bella, nothing is going to happen to you!" He grabs my face between his hands and looks at me.

"How are you so sure?"

"Because, I'll protect you myself." He kissed me. "I promise."

"I'm really scared, Edward."

His arms wrapped around me, giving me warmth. I sigh on his chest, inhaling his sweet sent, I could be here forever. My own personal haven with Edward.

Edward is downstairs, talking to some guards he's now hiring for our safety. People his father knows, I asked but he didn't want to say anything about them. That's like a limit of information he's not willing to give.

I sit on his desk, looking at the black screen of his Mac. I slightly move the mouse and a picture of us together pops out on the screen. I smile. I click on the internet icon and type Google. The page pops up and I type Women Recently Murdered. 1,000 pages pop up, but it takes time to find the right site.

The title says 'Teenage Girl Brutally Murdered In Her Own Home.' With a deep breath I click on the site and Jessica's school ID picture pops up.

"What exactly happened to you, Jessica?" I asked myself.
