I Am Safe!

Y/n's Pov:

It's the day after the training camp was attacked.

It's the day after Bakugo had been taken by the League of Villians.

I decided to go talk to Shota and the other teachers. I don't know, in this situation, I feel kinda useless.

But I'm not gonna worry about that now. I just need to focus on what I can do to help.

I walked inside UA and went straight to the teachers lounge. I walked in and everybody looked at me.

"Nezu scheduled all of us to have a meeting today. Just us and then-" Midnight paused.

"Then what?" I asked. "Nezu said he'd tell us." I heard from behind me. I turned to see Shota.

I'm not sure why, but I had the urge to hold on to him.

I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him. I was surprised when he hugged me back.

And it wasn't a lazy hug, it was firm and it felt safe.

I let go and he just looked at me. I cleared my throat. "When's the meeting?"

"We're about to go to Nezu's office."

The meeting has ended.

And what we talked about was something I never really expected to hear. But I did and I just nodded along.

I'm not saying what he said didn't make sense or that I disagree with any of it.

But I don't know. I don't think I could provide anything useful in the conversation.

I was on my way to the bus station when a car stopped in front of me. I laughed a bit.

"This is a new low Shota." He rolled his eyes. "Let me give you a ride home." I sighed.

I wanted to say no. But I didn't. "Okay." I went around the car and got in the passenger seat.

When the car didn't move I looked over at him. He was just staring at me. "What?"

He shook his head. "Nothing, just usually would put up some fight." I smiled a bit.

"Sorry, just too tired today I guess." He nodded. He drove and it was quiet. But not awkward quiet but relaxing quiet.

When we got to my apartment I was about to get out but he did instead and went around to open the door for me.

I scoffed. "What is this Shota?" I got out of the car and he closed the car door. "Nothing."

I sighed and started walking to go inside. He followed, the whole way up.

When we got to my door I turned to him. "See I made it safe and sound." He nodded.

"Yes, you did." I could tell he was playing along. I shook my head and laughed a bit.

"Well, I guess I better be going then." He said as he was about to walk away. I don't know why I do the things I do.

Or say the things I say.

"Hey, do you want to stay for a bit?" I asked.

He doesn't like tea. Just coffee. That's interesting.

I poured the coffee into a cup and put the pot back on the stove. I walked over to Shota, who was sitting on the couch.

I handed him the cup and he took it while thanking me. I went back to pour myself a cup.

I don't usually drink coffee, it's not because I don't like it, it's just cause I never feel like drinking it.

But right now, with Shota, I feel like it.

I got my cup and went to sit next to Shota. "Is it okay?" I asked as I drank my cup.

He nodded. "It's good." I smiled a bit. I didn't really have anything to say so I just kept drinking my coffee.

"What's wrong?" I looked up at him. "What?" He put his cup down. "You're quiet. You're never quiet."

I sighed. "I'm fine." He just kept looking at me. Waiting for me to say something.

"I just feel-" I didn't know how to say it. I rubbed my eyes. "Like I can't really do anything in this situation."

"There isn't anything you can do." He paused. "The other pros and I will fix this. You just need to trust us and be there for the students."

I nodded. I feel like I'm thinking too much about this. Shota's right, the pros, and All Might will make things right.

"Thanks." He nodded. "Anytime." He looked at his watch. "I should get going the press conference is in an hour."

I nodded and followed him to the door. "I hope it goes well. I'll be watching." I said as I opened the door.

"If anything changes I'll call." I nodded. He was about to walk out but I stopped him.

"Shota." He turned back and looked at me. Again I don't know why I say the things I say.

Or do the things I do.

I pulled Shota closer and kissed him. I put my hands on both sides of his face and kissed him.

He put his hands on my hips and pulled me closer. We tilted our heads to deepen the kiss.

We kept going until we separated to catch our breaths. We just looked at each other until I spoke.

"After, come back?" He didn't think twice and nodded. We let go and he left.

I closed the door and walked to my room. I sat on my bed and just stayed there.

I put my hand to my lips and smiled a bit. I looked up at the cabinet. "I know I said I wouldn't get too close." I paused.

"To anyone. I said I'd focus on my job but I can't help it." I laughed and look down at my lap.

"I feel safe again." I looked at the cabinet again until I decide to get up and watch the conference.

I am safe.

How was it?

This chapter is kinda depressing but it makes for a good story!

Also, I already decided what my next book is gonna be, I think it's time to come full circle.
