Okay Now!

Y/n's Pov:

It's a day before the school festival.

Shota and I are at the hospital teaching Eri about colors. I think she really likes the color red.

She says it reminds her of apples.

"Um." I looked at her. "What is it?" I asked. "When am I better?" I looked at Shota then back at her.

"Whenever the doctor says you are." She looked back at the color palette. "I want to leave."

I sighed. "I know. Just one more day and then the festival." She looked at me again.

"Okay." She went back to playing with the color palette. I looked at Shota. He knew what I was thinking.

He sighed and left. I played with Eri again until he got back. I got up and walked over to him.

I just looked at him. "They said she has to stay under our supervision. We're lucky, they said it should be okay if I'm there to stop her quirk."

I smiled widely. I kissed him and then went back to Eri. "Eri." She looked up at me.

"We can go home if you want." Her eyes widen. "Really?" I nodded. "Yeah but you have to stay close to us. No running anywhere by yourself."

I'm not really worried about that. It's just walking to the car and then walking from the car to the apartment.

"Okay!" She slowly got out of bed and waited for me. She doesn't really have any clothes.

It's fine we'll just stop for some. I held out my hand for her. "Ready?" She nodded.

And held my hand.

It's time for the school festival.

The dress we bought Eri fits her nicely. I think she likes it, it's red so. We're in the car driving to the school.

"Are you excited Eri?" She nodded. "I think so." I smiled at her. "I heard there'll be candy apples."

Her eyes widen. "Yeah! Deku told me about them! They sound good!" I'm happy she's excited about one thing.

We got to the school and saw a bunch of booths. The classes were doing entertainment things themselves so there was a lot to do.

We saw Midoriya and Mirio waiting for us. "Is it okay if I take Eri I want to get a good spot for Class 1-A concert?"

I nodded. "Sure just be safe alright." He nodded and walked Eri to the gym where the concert was gonna be held.

Shota and I decided to walk around for a bit before the concert. Unfortunately, our alone time was short.

"Y/n." I turned to see Hitoshi covered in blood. "Hitoshi what-" He cut me off. "It's fake don't worry."

"Is it for your class?" He nodded. "We're doing a haunted house." He did a creepy smile.

I laughed a bit. "Sounds fun, I'll check it out after Class 1-A's concert." He nodded.

"Actually I wanted to talk to you." I looked at him confused. "About what?" He messed with his hands.

"About letting me stay with you." I sighed with a smile. "Hitoshi you're welcomed anytime. Just don't-"

He shook his head. "No like, permanently." Permanently? "Hitoshi what's going on?"

He sighed. "I'll explain later. I have to get back." Before I could speak he ran off.

I stood there confused until Shota came back from getting us food. "What's wrong?"

"I have no idea."

We got back to Eri and Mirio and waited for the concert to start.

I couldn't get Hitoshi out of my head though. He seemed scared, I don't know maybe it was a figment of my imagination.

"You okay?" I looked at Shota. I sighed. "I'm worried about Hitoshi." He looked at me concerned.

"Why what happened?" I rubbed my upper arm. "He asked if he could live with me. Permanently."

Shota thought for a moment. He was gonna speak but the light shut off. The concert was starting.

I looked over at Eri who was memorized by the lights, music, and dancing.

I didn't know Bakugo could play drums. He looks angry, it's a good instrument for him.

They really went crazy with this. Streamers, snow, birds, people floating in the air.

Finally, I saw Eri smile.

I didn't notice but a few tears fell from my face. I felt an arm wrap around my waist.

I looked at Shota. He smiled at me. I smiled back and leaned into him.

I still have a lot to worry about but for now, I'll enjoy this moment.

Eri had to go back to the hospital after the festival.

They wanted to do one last check-up before sending her anywhere else. She was a bit upset but I reminded her we'd be back tomorrow.

And right now I have to deal with whatever Hitoshi's dealing with.

We're at my apartment right now. Shota's in the living room watching something on the tv.

"So are you gonna tell me what's going on?" I asked him. "Mom and dad are driving me crazy."

I hmmed. "Yeah, they'll do that." He laughed a bit. "They keep talking about how we're disappointments. Stuff like that."

I sighed. "Hitoshi I have to ask. They aren't physically hurting you right?" He looked down at the table.

"It was once. It was when they first found out I was talking to you. Dad grabbed my arm too tightly."

I put my hand to my mouth. I couldn't help but think if I had stayed this wouldn't have happened.

"Okay. We'll figure something out." His eyes widen. "Really?" I nodded. "Yeah but I need to figure out what we're gonna do."

"What do you mean?" I put my hand down. "Like this apartment is too small. There's no more bedrooms and only one bathroom."

He nodded. "Will you talk to them? Tell them I'm staying with you. I don't want to talk to them."

I feel so bad. "Of course." He nodded. "Imma go to the bathroom." He got up and went.

This needs to be done soon. I got up and went to grab my phone. When I did I dialed some numbers.

"Who are you calling?" Shota asked. I didn't say anything until I heard it pick up.

"Yes, I'd like to report child neglect and possibly child abuse." Shota stood up and stood by me.

"Yes, it's **** street. Yes, thank you." I hung up the phone and looked at Shota.

"So?" I smiled a bit. "Everything's gonna be okay now."
