Say It!

Y/n's Pov:

Shota made me some tea and sat next to me.

He gave me the cup and I thanked him. "So what did they say?" He asked. "They told me to stop talking to him."

He looked at me confused. "Why?" Here we go. "Because he's my brother and they're worried another incident will happen."

"Wait so your name is actually Shinsou." I nodded. "Yeah, it is. Or was."

"And Nezu knows." I nodded again. "When I applied I used a fake last name. He sent me an email, called me my real one, and said to come to UA."

He was deep in thought. "If Shinsou's your brother that means-" I nodded. "Those were my parents."

He seemed really surprised. "They seemed like assholes." I laughed a bit. "Yeah, they haven't changed a bit."

"We're they like that when you lived with them?" I sighed. "Yeah, they never paid attention to me. Even when I was doing amazing things."

"Sound like assholes." I nodded. "Is that all?" I took a deep breath. "No there's something else."

He waited for me to speak. "When I was fifteen I went to UA to become a hero. My best friend, Ruby, was there too. Even though she was my best friend I never let her see my quirk. It was too dangerous. But one day she convinced me to show her and when I did I messed up."

I couldn't hold my cup so Shota took it. "I killed her." I did.

I felt Shota wipe the tears from my face. "It was an accident." He said. He brought me close and laid me on him.

"One more thing." He looked down at me. "What is it?" I sighed. "Come on." I got up and he followed me to the bedroom.

I walked over to the cabinet. I opened it and let him look. "Is this her?" I nodded.

"I wanted to pay my respects every day so I put a photo here." Inside the cabinet were old candles, flowers, and a photo of Ruby.

"Um, I sometimes talk to her. I don't know. I think it makes me feel better in some way."

He nodded. "That makes sense." I went and closed it. "I'm sorry." He looked at me confused.

"What for?" I shrugged. "For being weird." He smiled a bit. "Don't apologize for that."

I smiled and nodded. We laid on the bed and just cuddle each other. It felt safe.

Then we fell asleep.

I woke up alone in bed.

I looked around but it was just me. I don't know but I started to cry a bit. Maybe it was because I was alone.

Or maybe it was because I wanted to be with Shota but he wasn't here.

I just curled up in the bed and closed my eyes. "What's wrong?" I looked up at Shota.

I wiped my eyes. "Nothing." He came over and held me. "Tell me." He pushed my hair behind my ear.

"Where'd you go?" I asked. "I just went to the bathroom. We've been sleeping for five hours."

I hmmed. "Is that why you were crying?" I shrugged. "I just thought you left. Maybe you didn't-"

"I'm not gonna leave because of what you told me." I looked at him. "I'm sorry. I was just worried."

He sighed. "I know. But it's okay I'm not going anywhere." I nodded. We stayed like that for a while until he spoke again.

"We should get some sleep. I have a busy day tomorrow." I looked at him confused. "Why?"

He sighed. "Couple of days ago work studies started. Midoriya and this 3rd-year Mirio said a girl was in danger so everyone is going to a rescue."

"Oh, you'll be okay right?" He smiled. "Of course." He kissed me and I kissed him.

We went to sleep again.

I walk into work like nothing's wrong.

I sit at my desk and start my paperwork for the day. My office door opens. "Why do you look depressed?"

I looked up and laughed. "You got to stay." He smiled at me and came to sit down. "Yeah, what did you say to them."

I shrugged. "Oh, nothing." He shook his head while smiling. "Thank you." I smiled at him.

"Don't worry about it Hitoshi." He nodded. "So does that mean I can come over whenever I want?"

I sighed. "Sure but try not to eat all my food this time." He nodded. "Okay. So what's the plan today?"

I sighed. "Just work. Shota is doing some rescue today so I don't know when I'll hear from him."

I'm really worried about him. I know he's a pro and he knows what he's doing but I just can't shake it.

"Oh, well you want me to keep you company?" I looked at him confused. "Don't you have class?"

"When you're in general studies it doesn't really matter if you're there or not."

I hmmed. "How is that going by the way? You know getting into the hero course."

He sighed. "Hard. I have to convince everyone I belong in there." I nodded. "Well just keep at it. I know you can do it."

He smiled a bit but it flattened. "Did you ever want to be a hero?" I stopped writing and looked at him.

"Hitoshi." I proceed to tell him everything. The incident, Ruby, why I didn't become a hero.

"That's why our parents were acting like that." I shrugged. "They've always acted like that. The incident just adds to it."

He nodded. "You think you'll ever forgive them? For like abandoning you and stuff."

I know the answer. No. But I don't know, maybe in another life.

"I don't really think about that. I don't really care anymore so there's no point in thinking about it."

He looked sad but nodded. "Well if you want I can get some revenge for you."

I laughed a bit. "I'm okay. I just want to move on." He nodded. "Alright, well I gotta go I'll see you later."

I waved and he left. I was about to get back to work when my phone rang. It was Shota.

I picked it up confused. "Hey, what's up?" What he told me was something I never would have believed.

But here I was listening to him say it.
