Everything was going just fine that day. The team was out on a mission, except for you and Loki, who was up in his room doing who knows what.

While he was doing that, you were babysitting Tony's daughter, Morgan, baking cookies with her. The entire afternoon was pretty much peaceful.

Until it wasn't.

"Hey auntie (n/n)?" Morgan calls from behind you, staring at the cookies on the pan.

"Yes Morg?"

"Are there-are there supposed to be spider decorations on all these cookies?" You furrow your brows, twisting your body around to the cookies.

"What do you mean-..." your voice trails off when your eyes land on a black, furry spider, in the middle of one the cookies, going into a straight high-pitched scream.

"Holy crap!" you panic, levitating up to the ceiling, heart rate accelerating. "I'm afraid of spiders, Morgan!" The little girl panics with you, running away from the kitchen and jumping on the couch. "Loki! Loki, help!"

Immediately, Loki appears into the room, eyes widening when he notices you and Morgan's fearful looks.

"What happened?" he asks, and your shaky hand points to the counter.

"The-the counter-" you stammer, watching the spider crawl off the cookie and straight onto the counter, screaming again.

"Darling," he tries to calm you down, but you fall off the ceiling and jump on his back. "(Y/n), what is on the counter?"

"A freaking spider!" you yelp. Loki pauses and gives you a bewildered look, sighing exasperatedly.

"You yelled my name like you were dying...for a spider?!" he questions, and you can only nod. It was literally the only truth, no way to word that any differently. He sighs once again, flicking his hand to the spider, and it disappears completely. "There."

You slowly get off his back, calming yourself down. "I'm afraid of spiders," you admit sheepishly. "They make me panic, I'm sorry."

Loki pats your head, shaking his own. "You're lucky you're one the only ones I'm fond of in this Tower." He looks at Morgan, who gives him a pout. "You too, little one. I'm going back to my reading." You nod, watching him return upstairs.

"We will never speak of this again," you tell Morgan, who nods in agreement. "Now come on, let's finish these cookies."
