Snape's POV
Alastor, Minerva, Albus, and I all gathered in his office to discuss the extraordinary events of tonight.
"This can't go on, Albus. First the Dark Mark... now this?" Minerva broke the silence. Dumbledore stood by his pensieve, staring into it. The light of the pensieve illuminated the room.
"Are you suggesting Y/n had something to do with the Dark Mark?" Alastor asked.
"Well, no but it's a weird coincidence. Is it not?" Minerva argued. She was right the circumstances were weird but how would Y/n connect to the deatheaters?
"What do you suggest, Minerva?" Albus asked still not breaking his eye contact with the pensieve.
Something about this seemed off to me. Like if Y/n held a deeper meaning. But why? She seems familiar, her looks, her name. It's all too familiar. But from where?
"Put an end to it. Don't let Y/n or Potter compete." Minerva argued. In any other scenario this would make sense and I would fully agree with Minerva but this felt like it needed to happen.
"You heard Barty. The rules are clear." Albus spoke, annoyance clear in his voice.
"Well, the devil with Barty and his rules. And since when did you accommodate the Ministry?" Minerva spoke, anger clear in her voice. Reasonably so, putting a child at risk for a tournament seemed very irresponsible.
It frustrated me how I couldn't pin point where she feels familiar from. But it wasn't a good familiar. She seemed not evil but mischievous.
"Headmaster, I, too, find it difficult to believe this mere coincidence. However, if we are to truly discover the meaning of these events, perhaps we should for the time being... let them unfold." I spoke. We needed to know how Y/n contributes to all of this mess going about recently.
Something about that girl is off.
"What? Do nothing? Offer them up as bait? Y/n and Potter are kids, not a pieces of meat." Minerva spoke shocked that Albus and I thought it would be best for her to continue in the tournament.
"If Y/n was smart enough to put her name in the goblet, I'm sure she can survive the mere tasks." I spoke.
"I agree... with Severus." Albus spoke.
"She didn't put her name in the goblet! Do you two not believe her?" Minerva asked looking between Albus and I.
"Severus, keep an eye on Y/n, will you?" Albus asked me.
"I can do that." I spoke nodding.
"Don't let her know, though. She must be anxious enough as it is... knowing what lies ahead." Albus stated as he pulled out a memory with his wand throwing it into the pensieve.
Minerva turned around frustrated at Albus' response. "Then again, we all are." Albus spoke.
And with that he dismissed us all, Minerva stomped away clearly angry.
