"Nope! I rather watch the idiots die and get eaten."

I was sitting in the Great Hall eating my breakfast while hearing all the students talk about what happened at the Quidditch World Cup.

"Did you go to the Quidditch World Cup?" Michael asked.

"No, I don't see the point in absorbing yourself in such foolish activities." I spoke clearly.

"Are you excited to be here?" Luna asked.

"I guess. I don't know." I shrugged.

"Did you hear about the two new schools who came?" Michael added.

"No." Luna spoke. "What school?" She asked.

"Some students showed up in a flying carriage! And then this large ship emerged from UNDER the water! Can you believe it!?" Michael spoke.

"A ship?" I asked intrigued.

"Yeah-" Michael spoke.

"What did the flag look like?" I asked.

"Well it was-"

"Now we're all settled in and sorted, I'd like to make an announcement. This castle will not only be your home this year but home to some very special guests as well. You see, Hogwarts has been chosen-" Dumbledore spoke completely interrupting Michael.

Suddenly, a man ran up the aisle limping in a comical way, he whispered something to Dumbledore and left in the same fashion.

"Who's that?" I asked.

"Something Moody. Heard a couple people talking about him." Michael spoke.

"Alastor Moody." Luna corrected.

"Yeah!" Micheal agreed. I nodded and directed my attention back to Dumbledore.

"So, Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event. The Tri-Wizard Tournament. Now for those of you who do not know, the tri-wizard tournament brings together three schools for a series of magical contests. From each school a single contestant is selected to compete. Now let me be clear, if chosen you stand alone. And trust me when I say these contests are not for the faint hearted, but more of that later. For now please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy of magic and there headmistress Madam Maxime." Dumbledore adressed to everyone.

I was about to whisper something too Luna when I was interrupted by a group of girls dressed in blue dancing up the aisle. All the boys attention immediately went to them. The girls all released butterflies into the air. One of the butterflies flew around Luna and Luna smiled and watched the butterfly fade away. The girls all bowed and everyone applauded.

Except for me.

"Blimey, that's one big woman." I heard a student comment.

"Has the height of a giraffe." I commented. Luna nudged me softly. "Y/n that's not very nice." Luna spoke calmly. I sighed. "Sorry." I spoke.

"And now our friends from the north, please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang and the high master Igor Karkaroff." Dumbledore spoke. My head snapped up and suddenly all my attention was on the doors.

A bunch of older boys walked up the aisle brandishing bo staffs, twirling them around and periodically stabbing them into the ground with a spark effect. I recognized some of them and a burst of excitement flooded me.

I looked through the crowd but didn't see my best friend my smile dropped and I slouched in my chair. Luna noticed and nudged me. "Are you feeling well?" Luna asked.

"Yeah, don't worry about me though!" I reassured. Luna nodded.

"It's Viktor Krum!" Michael commented.

Then one of the boys created a phoenix out of fire. "Wow." Luna commented. "Yeah they teach you that at Durmstrang." I spoke.

"That's where you used to go?" Luna asked.

"Yeah, I thought my friend would come. I guess not." I spoke sadly.

"I'm sure there's a valid reason why." Luna reassured. I nodded in agreement.

"Albus!" Igor spoke and hugged Dumbledore.

Luna and I were enjoying our pudding when Dumbledore asked for our attention. "The pudding is so-" I began.

"Your attention please! I would like to say a few words. Eternal glory, that is what awaits the student who wins the tri-wizard tournament. But to do this... that student must survive three tasks. Three extremely dangerous tasks." Dumbledore spoke.

"Would you join?" Micheal whispered.

"Nope! I rather watch the idiots die and get eaten." I joked.

"Y/n!" Luna whisper shouted. I raised my hands in defense.

"For this reason the ministry has seen fit to impose a new rule. To explain all this we have the head of department of international magic cooperation Mister Bartimus Crouch." Dumbledore added.

Rain began leaking through the roof and girls and boys began screaming.

"It's just some bloody rain." I spoke annoyed of all the yelling.

Moody casted some magic spell upwards and seals the roof. Suddenly, everyone shuts up.

"Bloody hell, it's Mad-Eye Moody." I heard a student whisper.

"After much deliberation the ministry has concluded that for their own safety no student under the age of seventeen shall be allowed to out forth their name for the tri-wizard tournament. This decision is final." Barty spoke.

Suddenly the students start booing and yelling. I cover my ears with my hands annoyed at all the noise.

"That's rubbish! You don't know what you're doing!" I hear some people yell.

"Just shut up already!" I snap.

"Silence!" Dumbledore yells unbelievably loud.

Dumbledore cast some magic over a box which molded into a goblet containing a blue flame.

"The goblet of fire. Anyone wishing to submit themselves for the tournament merely write their name upon a piece of parchment and throw it in the flame before this hour on Thursday night. Do not do so lightly, if chosen there's no turning back. As from this moment the trip-wizard tournament has begun." Dumbledore spoke cautiously.

"Y/n! You would be brilliant!" Michael spoke. "You know all kinds of spells! You'd totally win!" Micheal added.

"Thanks but we have two issues. One, I'm not old enough and two, I don't want to be the idiot getting killed! I want to be the idiot watching and then making fun of them after." I spoke.

"But Y/n-" Micheal added.

"Corner! If she doesn't want too she doesn't have too! Besides, she's our friend! Why would you want her in a death tournament!?" Luna snapped. "I'm tired of hearing you two bickering like little 5 year olds!" Luna spoke.

A/N: I'm sorry I haven't been updating this book. I've been so busy with school and I've had a huge writer's block but I'm back.

Do you guys want Y/n to be selected to compete in the tournament or no?
