Charles expressed in surprise,trying to keep up with her while she was on her way to the queens chambers.

"I am sorry,your grace,I cannot talk right now.I am going to her majesty's chambers"

"Ah I see,so no time for me then?"

"I'm afraid not right now,sir"

"Well am I ask one thing if you?"

"What is it,your grace?"

"I mean,why? Was it to support your family? To try something new? Or perhaps to find a husband?"

"Why do you ask,your grace?"

"Curious is all,bookworm"

The doors to the queens chambers opened and she saw Anne come out making eye contact with her,there was urgency in her sisters eyes.

"I must go.Your grace."
She bowed her head

"Bookworm"
Charles copied her actions

She rushed over to Anne as her sister panicked
"Anne what wrongs?!"

"The queen,she confronted me"

"What the king"

"Yes! What if she sends me away!"

"Anne calm down,she won't"

"How you do know!!"

"Because if she sends you away she loses the kings favour which would not bode well seeming as he is already wanting an divorce...just calm down"

The next day there was a grand picnic.
The king and Anne were very interested with each other,feeding each other food and kissing.

The kings men were miserable and Elena was having cheese and crackers while reading.

"It seems our majesty is in love"
Lance murmured to her

She smiled back

Charles was getting some wine and when he came back he sat right in between Lance and Elena.

"Bookworm what are you reading about"

"The stars,your grace"

"What about the stars?"

"Constellations above Europe"

"Well I believe so"

"Elena may I ask something"
Charles put down the wine

"Yes,your grace"

"If I asked you to marry me,with your fathers approval of course,what would you say?"

"I would be weary"

"Why?"

Charles chuckled
"Ah yes,i do But have you noticed the rumours circulating around me have slightly changed or at least decreased"

"I have noticed that there have been less rumours of you with women,yes"

She turned back to her book when he started to speak again
"is that a yes or a no"

"why do you ask,your grace?"

"curious as all,madam"

"Hmm yes,you are very curious nowadays aren't you Charles-"

Charles nodded with handsome grin

All the ladies were in the queens chamber as the queen looked down at Anne,who was drying her feet.

"That necklace who,gave it to you?"

Elena turned around to watch the scene unfold

No response from Anne

The queen scoffed and reach forward holding the necklace in her hand
"Jewel expensive,huh?"

She then muttered the words
"An expensive whore" in Spanish

The queen scoffed again
"He is infatuated with you as men often or buy new things, soon he will see you for a really are and he will tire of you, like all the others"

The queen lectured Anne

Elena follows Anne out of the room
"Can you believe that Elena,can you believe how that Witch I just spoke to me!"

"yes I know it's bad but Anne why did you wear the necklace in front of her anyway,what to you expect to happen"

"I expected her to be silent and sad and actually have a go at me and you said it yourself she can't get rid of me"

" yes you're right she can't get rid of you if she does not want to lose the Kings favour but what you say and do makes an impact on her ladies and people at court who will soon be your ladies and your people at court, if you do things like that it gives her the chance to publicly humiliate you... you must be careful what you say and do around the Queen,Anne.This is dangerous..."
