"Yeah" I said to my boyfriend, with a smile and a nod.

|At Home|

"Hey mum" I said as I walked in, Nellie walked right next to me. "Hi Nicky!" I heard mum yell from another room. I placed my bag down, and went to the kitchen. I was smiling widely and mum said. 

"You seem smiley! Did you and Copper have a good day?" I nodded, and made myself a cup of tea. "Yeah, we did" 

I poured my cup, and I said. "We went to the beach and just chilled for a few hours. It was so much fun!" I smiled. "We went paddling and explored for a bit! And got fish and chips!" Mum smiled at me. 

"Sounds like a lovely day" I sat in the seat in front of her and nodded. "Yeah" Nellie jumped onto my leg's, and I said to her.

"Hey Nellie! Did you have a good day?" She barked at me, and I thought of what Copper, his smile and the way his hair blew in the wind. I turned to my mum, who was working on her laptop.

"Mum?" I muttered. "Mmhm?" She asked. "You know, Copper's like my.. best friend right?" I played with the strings on my hoodie.

Mum looked at me, and said. "If you're going to ask if he can come to Menorca with us this summer, the answer is no, I already booked the ticket's and--" I interrupted her. "No" I muttered.

"No, that's not what I was going to say" I looked down at Nellie, and she was panting at me. I closed my eyes tightly, and I said. 

"He's my boyfriend.. Copper's my boyfriend" I clung, tightly, to the sleeve of my hoodie as I waited for mum to say something, or for me to add something.
