"Just look at him Copper. He's straight as they come" Tao said, holding the football in his arms tightly. "I know" I growled under my breath.
"You're just causing yourself pain--" An image of Nicholas came into my head.
"I KNOW!" I yelled at my best friend. "Tao, Copper!" Our P.E teacher from behind us yelled. "Stop chatting and start kicking the ball!" He looked at Tao. "And Tao, take that blood hat off!" Tao looked at the teacher offended.
"But Siiiir, it's freezing!" Tao complained to the teacher, but his face screamed 'I don't give a fuck.'
"This is England, not Antarctica! Deal with it!" He yelled at Tao. Tao took the hat off, and quickly said to me.
"Copper, you NEED to give up on him" I rolled my eyes. Then whispered, "I can't"

Nicholas was showing me pictures.
"Yeah, it took me like 3 hours to bake it all but my nan loves Cheesecake so-" Nicholas chuckled gently. "Wait, I think I have a picture of it" I chuckled, then a picture of a puppy came up.
"Oh! That's my dog" He laughed, and I looked at the dog with sparkles in my eyes.
"WAIT!" I yelled with a smile. "You have a dog!?" He nodded with a smile.

"Yeah! Her name is Nellie" He smiled widely at the photo of his dog. "She's pretty old, but I love her" I weakly smiled at the boy.
"I wish I had a dog!" I groaned. "But my parent's don't like animals" Nicholas looked at me sadly.
"You should come around my house and meet her!" Nicholas suggested. "R-Really!?" I stuttered. Oh, fuck me! Why did I have to stutter!?
"Yeah! Are you free this Saturday?" He asked me, and I was thrown out of my trance. "Uhm. Yeah, I think so" I smiled.
He grabbed a piece of paper out of his bookbag, and he stole my pencil. I looked at him in a jokingly, angry way. But I was confused on what he was doing.
I leaned over his shoulder, and noticed he was writing down his address.
"Wow! That's only, like, a ten minute walk from my house!" I smiled. "Is it?" He asked me, and I nodded. "Yeah, I live on Britannia Road!" I looked at the paper, my face wearing a light blush.
"Saturday, then?" He asked me with a HUGE smile, I nodded. "Okay!" I smiled back. It feels so good to smile with someone this brightly.
Mr. Lange walked up to us, and asked. "Did you two swap seats" Nicholas and I looked up at the teacher then we looked at each other. We broke into a fit of laughs, and I nodded.
"I guess we did, Mr. Lange" He weakly smiled. "It's alright, but tell me next time. Okay?" We both nodded, and once he walked away we started laughing again.

I was looking at myself in the mirror, I was flattening my hair. I heard the door open, and I heard my sister's voice ask.
"What are you doing?" I jumped, and looked at her. Then asked her. "Does it look to short?" She looked at me confused.
"You've had it cut that short before..?" She asked, and she tilted her head. "I know! But, did it look better slightly longer?" I asked her. "It looks the same, to be honest" I looked at the mirror.
"Are you going out?" She asked me, as I fixed my outfit.

"Yeah, going around a friends" I said, as I tucked and un-tucked my shirt. "Tao's?" Tori asked me. "No, uhm. His name's Nicholas, he's in my form" Tori smirked at me.
"Hmmm" I glared at her. "What?" I grabbed my big coat, to keep myself warm. "Have fun!" My older sister yelled, and walked away. I looked at her confused, but I shrugged it off. I was going to Nicholas's house.
