Kinuha ko ang posporo at sinindihan ang kandila.

"Let's sing a happy birthday for my baby." saad ko. Kai held Neytiri as we were singing her happy birthday.

"Happy 2nd my baby." masayang ani ni Kai at hinalikan ang pisngi ng anak.

"Kainan na!"

Today, we celebrated the 2nd birthday of my dearest daughter. It's a simple celebration here in our small unit. Kai insisted on having an extravagant birthday pero I decline.

Noong una ay hindi pa siya pumayag.

"Roshan, it's my daughter's birthday. The first one I will attend, so please.."

"Rent Disneyland? Ni hindi niya matatandaan iyan. Sayang lang sa pera."

"Okay, then jollibee party? Or any party? Please." he pleaded.

"Let's just save your money for her future. May mas importante pang bagay kesa sa ganyan."

Sumimangot siya. "But it's my first..."

I sighed. "Jollibee party okay na?"

Nakita kong nabuhayan siya ng loob. "Sure. I'll settle everything."

I hate to wipe his excitement for our daughter's birthday, pero it sucks dahil bumabagyo ngayon. The roads are flooded and there is almost zero visibility.

In the end, we celebrate it at home. Biglaan lang din kaya konting handa lang ang nailuto ko. We can't order food dahil sa bagyo.

Wala pa nga dapat cake si Neytiri, but Kai, being stubborn as he is, insisted that he will buy in the nearest cake shop. Mabuti na lang ay may bukas pa.

Basang basa siya ng makarating, his car were stuck on the road. Kaya tumakbo siya simula cake shop hanggang dito sa unit.

"What the hell happened to you?" ani ko ng makita siyang basang basa, malaki ang ngiti habang bitbit ang cake ni Neytiri.

"My car was stuck because of heavy flood, I ran." tila ba wala lang ang ginawa dahil mukhang masaya pa ang isang ito.

I rolled my eyes out of frustration. Pinatay ko ang apoy ng niluluto at tumumgo sa kwarto para kumuha ng towel.

"Ang kulit mo naman kasi, sabing wag na. Baka magkasakit ka pa niya." ani ko habang pinupunasan ang ulo niya.

"How can she have a birthday without a birthday cake? And it's fine Roshan, anything for my baby Neytiri." he smiled.

"Oh, maligo ka na doon. Wala ka pang pampalit."

"I can wear this, it's fine. Matutuyo rin naman."

"Pumunta ka sa cr, then bring me your clothes, lalabhan ko ng mabilis, then I'll use the dryer." irap ko.

"No need, Roshan. I said it-"

"Isa!"

"Eto na." tumayo siya at nagtungo sa cr.

"Ilagay mo dito ang damit mo, tapos ilabas mo." sabay bigay ng basket. "Just stay there until I finish cleaning and drying your clothes. Intindes?"

"Yes, Madam."

Pagkatapos ng ilang minuto ay inilabas niya ang basa niyang damit. I opened the washing machine and put his clothes in there. Buti na lang ay halos puti ang damit at short niya kaya naman isahang laba ang ginawa ko.

I was busy drying the clothes when I felt him behind me.

"What the fuck?" sigaw ko ng makita siya sa likod, wearing only towel wrapped on his waist.
