The Certain Way

I've realized

I'll never meet you somewhere in this world

You were always safely planted in my heart.

I've understood

Our love will never grow like other

We have transcended all the myths.

I've imagined

The worse in  us in a thousand ways

But never in that certain way.

I've thought

That the organic principles of You didn't exist yet

Only to see you standing on the other side of a busy street.

I've accepted

That our world will never collide in this lifetime

Unless that certain way is controlled by divine right timing.
