chapter thirteen

BILLIE

i finally arrived to my moms doorstep, i was more than excited to see her after 3 months. i take a deep breath and knock on the door hoping shes home, i hear the door start to unlock and i couldn't wait to just jump into her arms. i just wanted the locks to unlock fucking faster.

it finally unlocks and i get revealed a beautiful woman who i call mom, still looks young, still has that same luxurious fluffy blonde hollywood hair.

i jump into carols arms and start to hug her for an expansion in time as i softly sob into the crook of her neck. "i missed you so much momma" i sobbed.

"i missed you more my dear baby!" she says pulling me tighter into the hug.

"come, come. let's bring your things inside. its humid as hell out there!" she said excitedly.

we pull my luggage and my bag into the house, it was still just as cozy as i hoped. very spacious, yet very, very cozy and definitely a place i can call home.

"you can put your stuff in your room dear, i'll start making food." she hollers. i nod and make my way to my room.

i walk in my room and it was just the way i left it when i went to college 3 months ago. i felt tears forming in my eyes and i flopped onto my bed and hugged my biggest stuffed animal and my custom made SOTO body pillow.

mom was making dinner while i settled my stuff down and organized it, after i organized my stuff mom had called dinners ready in 10 minutes. since i had nothing to do i decided to go help mom finish dinner.

"hey sweet plum, you wanna help mama with these greens and put them aside on the plates?" she says while grabbing utensils.

"sure mom, you want me to set up the table as well?" i asked as i put greens on the side of our plates.

she nodded her head and faced towards the sink washing left over dishes used to make the food.

dinner was finally ready and me and carol started catching up and she asked me a few questions that made me giggle a little bit.

"so, have you met any boys sweetheart?" she teases in her lil country accent.

i was honestly contemplating whether i should tell her or not, don't get me wrong. i trust carol with my whole heart, but i didn't know how to tell her how i met josh especially when she didn't want me going to party's, and i couldn't tell her that me and josh had sex..at least not now.

"wellll, i met this one boyy..he's sweet. now i know you told me not to go to any party's but taurus and amala invited me and i would've felt bad if i didn't show up!! but i met him at the party and we exchanged numbers.." i say while fidgeting with my fingers.

carol smiles and opens her mouth to speak, "honey i'm so happy for you! are you guys official? how long have you known each other??" she asks.

"we've been dating for a couple weeks, i've known josh for 3 months." i blushed.

carol gasps, "josh is his name? oh how precious, sweetie you're blushing hotter than a peach!" she giggled.

me and carol went back and forth just catching up on what's been going on in our lives with each other since i wasn't around her everyday anymore.

after dinner i washed my dish and carol told me she was heading to bed as i went into my room and pulled out my phone to text josh.
