| WE MEET AGAIN |
I am not worthy
To behold such beauty.
Your presence a light in the darkness,
A beckoning for me to follow,
Your calling voice one of softness.
I lost you long ago,
Now that I see you again,
I hope it is not a dream, oh please be so.
Tragic memories begin to haunt me...
Stay with her, don't let her go.
I watched you fall before me,
My heart still aches from the blow.
Your gentle smile baffles me,
How could you after my actions so low.
I was too late, your life was in my paws,
As the fact screams at me, my pain will steadily grow.
My sincerest apologies for not being there sooner,
Please send this awful pain below.
"Forgive me."
"You are forgiven."
Tears tumble down my cheek,
As I watch her come forward,
Her grace unmatched, her fur sleek.
An embrace shared,
As I vow to spend my forever mending our love with care.
A/N: So I pulled an all-nighter. Safe to say, that if this poem sucks it is because I'm awfully tired. I do, however, like the idea. It will remain here and if I see it needs work after proper rest, I will do my best to make it much better.
