Months have passed since the human trafficking organization was taken down. The fame died down as well. I'm glad because I was extremely overwhelmed. Enji has been coming home less. I don't question him about it, it's none of my business. Touya takes Prescott on dates whenever he can. She healed two weeks after being rescued. Natsuo got over being in love with his friend. And as for me? My dumbass is still in love with that fool. I told him how I felt about him. Obviously he responded exactly like how I knew he would. He loves me as a friend. We haven't been affectionate in months. We're more like roommates now. Whenever I do speak to him, he speaks highly of Rei. Today is my birthday. I didn't want to do anything big or special. I just wanted to be with my family. The kids cooked dinner and baked a cake for me. Per usual, Enji wasn't here. I allowed Touya to invite Prescott. She's sweet and it fills up the missing seat. "Happy birthday mama!" They cheer. I smile wide as I blow out the candles. I start cutting the cake and serve it. We drink wine. Of course my two youngest drink juice. "It's time for presents!" Fuyumi shouts, grabbing my hand and pulling me into the family room. I sit on the sofa. I start opening presents from everyone. I hug them. "You didn't have to give me anything Mr. and Mrs. Todoroki." "Oh please you're our family." My parents and brothers are here too. My brothers brought their kids over. The Todoroki and Y/L/N get along so well. "Happy birthday baby sis." My brother kiss my cheek as I take the present. "I'm home." We all hear. Enji walks into the family room. A woman with white long straight hair is with him. Rei. "Good you're all here. Everyone, this is Rei Himura. My girlfriend." Enji announces. "It's a pleasure to meet you all." Rei holds her hand out towards Fuyumi. Fu takes it. In mid shake, Fuyumi quickly pulls away. "No. She shouldn't be here. She's not family." Fuyumi announces. We all gasp at her. "This is a special day today." "What do you mean?" Enji asks. "It's mom's birthday. Remember her? The incredible woman who birthed and raised us?" "It is? Oh I'm so sorry. I forgot." Fuyumi exhale at his s response. "You only remember what you want to remember. If it's not Rei related, you won't remember." "Fuyumi Nazira Todoroki! You watch your mouth!" Enji barks. "Don't you dare raise your voice at my daughter!" I bark back, while jumping up. "Our daughter. She needs to show some respect." "Respect? Something that you lack right? You're starting to miss out on a lot of things Enji and if you keep going down that road, there's no happy ending." "So I missed one birthday. What of it?" I shake my head. "You don't get it do you? You're no longer prioritizing your family anymore. That's the problem." "Prior-what the hell are you talking about?!" "Shoto wanted a father and son conversation when he liked this girl. You bailed on him when you agreed to help him train. Ten times, you canceled on him. And it wasn't to do hero duties. You stopped interacting with our children. Whenever you do speak, it's of her. You know what? I'm not going to argue with you Enji." I reply. "Get your ass back here Y/N!" I start to walk away. "Enji give her some time to cool off. You know she's in love with you. All her emotions are mixed up." I stop in my tracks and turn around. "You told her?" I ask in disbelief. "Of course I did! She knows everything. Even when we slept together. I'm not going to build my relationship on lies and secrets." "Enji Isamu Todoroki!" "You really ain't shit Enji!" "Oh so now I'm the bad guy because of your shitty feelings for me? I'm sorry that I don't feel the same about you. But you need to grow the hell up. Get out of that fantasy of yours and wake the hell up! I guess it's our parents fault for filling your head up with hope that we'd be together. I'm madly in love with her, not you. And I never will. Stop fantasizing about us. It's never going to happen. Not even in the afterlife. Not even if we're reincarnated." I remain quiet. "Oh now you wanna act all hurt huh?" Enji press on. In one swift motion, my older brother punch Enji. "Talk too much." My brother spat. "Josiah!" I scream. Enji holds his mouth. "Instead of hitting me, you need to put your sister in her place." "Get out!" I scream. My father opens the door. "Get out while you're still alive." My father threatens. Everyone starts cracking their knuckles. Touya takes a swing. That set everyone off. Everyone starts pounding on Enji. I start pulling them off. "Stop it!" I scream. "Y/N stop defending this bastard. He was never good for you!" My father screams at me. "I'm not defending him! I just want a peaceful birthday." "That was ruined the moment he stepped foot in this house." Enji looks at me. "Don't ever call or text me again. You're a real shitty person for acting like I abandoned my family when I prioritized them my whole life. We're done. Happy fucking birthday." Enji walks out, with Rei at his side. And just like that, my world shattered. I look at my family. "Y/N-" "Don't. Just please...don't." I choke back tears. "Y/N baby we're sorry for ruining your birthday but we're not going to let him disrespect you." My father continued. "I think it's best we leave." Teka announces. Everyone gives me a hug. I stand there frozen. Stunned. I walk upstairs to my room. I slam my door and get under my blanket. I hear a knock on my door a few minutes later. "Go away." I lowly say. "Mama it's us. Can we come in?" I remain silent. My door opens and I hear multiple footsteps. Everyone climb into bed. They get under the blanket. Fuyumi was in front of me and Jr was behind me. Touya and Natsuo were on either side as well. "If we keep quiet, can we stay?" Fuyumi ask. I pull her close to me. I felt as her and Jr squeeze me tightly. Tears streamed down my face like a broken faucet.
