~~~~~~~~~~~~Touya's POV~~~~~~~~~~~
I was finished getting dressed when there's a knock on my door. I open it.
"Just making sure you're not bailing out." Fu says.
"I'm not. Why would you think that?"
"Because you're going through a lot right now."
"I am but I'm not going to take it out on her. I'm an idiot but I'm not that dumb."
"Alright you got that Todoroki." I follow her downstairs.
"I'm off!" I announce. It's dinner time so I know they're all in the family dining room. I hug them all.
"You better drive safely." My mother scolds.
"I will. I'll make it back home." I kiss her cheek and hug my father.
"Don't screw this up." He tells me.
"It's not a romantic date. But I won't sabotage it."
"Bye Touya!" The twins say. I kiss their foreheads.
"Good night. I'll see you two in the morning." I grab my new car keys and leave out. I get into my car and drive off. My last car was completely wrecked. I drive over to her house. I don't know why but my heart is racing. It's been like that since I woke up this morning. I've been thinking about tonight all day. Am I this excited to go on a date? I pull up to her house and park. I get out and walk up. I ring her doorbell.
"Coming!" I wait. The front door opens. Harmalie was all dressed up.
"Y-You look beautiful."
"Thank you!" She beams. She locks her front door and I escort her to my car. I open the door for her and she gets in. I get behind the wheel and drive off.
"I have this great place we're going too." I tell her.
"Oh? That's impressive." I shrug.
"I think it's a standard to plan everything ahead so you won't have to worry about a thing."
"I thought this was a friendly date?"
"It is. Doesn't mean I should treat it any less. We don't believe in that."
"Is that a family thing?"
"No it's a basic human thing. But not everyone does that. We're big on a lot of things in my family."
"We are too in my family. It's kinda nice knowing that there is another family who share similar things as us. Everything is so normalized that we get looked at like an outcast or doing the bare minimum is the holy grail."
"You make a good point." I tell her as I pull up.
"We're going in here?" I nod.
"Here?"
"Yes."
"My family and I can never get a reservation here. It's always booked." I get out and open her door. I hold my hand out. She takes it and step out.
"I know. They told me they were booked too." We walk inside.
"Good evening. Welcome to Kikunoi. How can I help you?" I smile.
"Good evening. I have a dinner reservation under Todoroki Touya." She looks up my name.
"Ah yes, I see you have a table four two. And it just so happens one of our best seats are available for you. Would you like it? It has a window view."
