My mother still hasn't waken up. We all visit her every day until visiting hours are over. I feel completely useless. As a doctor and as her son, I should be doing something. Anything.

"We won the trial mama. We don't have to worry about that family ever again!" Touya beams.

"We miss you so much Y/N please wake up. Baby please." Our father begs. I sit down and and take her hand in mine.

"We are so blessed and lucky to have a mother like you. To prioritize our mental health as a kid and as an adult. I hate to admit it but I feel bad for Rei. She didn't know how to take care of her own mental health. Her mother didn't care about her either. She actually was one of the reasons why Rei went down that dark road. Therapy wasn't helping for her.

She had no support system. Her mother's home wasn't a safe space for her. She called her own daughter delusional. She favored her younger daughter Reign. I feel guilty because I feel sorry for Rei after what she's done to you. Please don't be mad at me mama. Anyway, we are grateful to have you. We love you and we need you so please wake up."

"Mama you saved Vikhyati and Isamu's life. They still need you. We still need you. I want you to meet someone very important so please wake up." Fuyumi says as she holds her daughter. I rest my head next to my mother, sobbing uncontrollably. I'm failing to save my mother again.

"I'm such a failure. I have failed to save you time and time again. I'm so sorry mama! I promise to be a better doctor so please wake up! I hate myself as much as you hate me." I sob. I cried myself to sleep. I feel someone stroking my hair. I jump awake. I look up to see a pair of eyes staring back at me.

"M-Mama?" I rub my eyes. She blinks at me.

"Mom!" I fly out of the chair waking everyone.

"Ma's awake! Get up!" I scream. I shake them.

"Grandma Teka, Grandma Mikoto she's awake!"

"What?" They jump up and rush over. "Oh my god it's a miracle!" Grandma Mikoto says. She plants kisses on her forehead.

"I'll go get a doctor." Grandpa Shigeru says.

"Baby I am so happy to see you awake." My father plants a long kiss on her lips.

"Do you need anything? Some water? Are you hungry?"

"The twins. W-Where are the twins? Where are my b-babies?!" Was the first thing my mother says. That familiar voice was like music to my ears.

"Calm down. They're safe. They're asleep over there." My father assured her. She looks over to where he was pointing.

"W-What happened? H-How am I alive?"

"Try not to strain yourself mama." I instruct as I push her back down gently.

"You needed a bone marrow and a kidney transplant. I gave them both so you can live."

"You what? Enji-why?"

"Because I love you. I cannot live without you. We cannot live without you. I'll do whatever it takes to make sure you live." My mother was silent.

"I heard everything. Of what you guys were saying. She's really dead huh?" We all nod. Grandpa Shigeru came back with the doctor.

"It's good to see you finally awake. How are you feeling? Any pain?" He starts to check my mother. I monitor him closely.
