Prompt: Soren is waking up in the middle of the night, shaking, breathing heavily, maybe even crying. Enya wakes up as well, immediately knows what is happening and starts cuddling Soren

---

Enya wasn't sure what had exactly woken her up all of a sudden in the middle of the night, but the second she heard Soren crying, her annoyance turned to concern. He had his back to her and was curled up tightly under the blankets, whimpering and crying in his sleep as if he was having an awful nightmare of sorts. Now even more concerned, Enya immediately grabs her husband's shoulder and gives him a few firm shakes before he wakes up with a gasp and sits up.

"A mhuirnín, it's okay I'm here." Enya says as she pulls Soren into her arms as he starts hyperventilating and presses a kiss to the side of his head. "It's okay, it's okay. I'm right here, shh, it's okay."

"I...I did it again, but...it was different." Soren mumbles as he hugs Enya tightly. "It just felt so real Enya, too real!"

"Do you want to talk about it? If not, that's fine."

Soren was quiet before quietly nodding. "I...I dreamt of the battle, or at least the end of it when we came across my sister and that illusion. I stabbed him like I did before...but..."

"But what?"

"He...it turned into you."

Enya bit back a gasp as Soren buried his face in his hands. She knew that time Claudia tricked her brother into stabbing an illusion version of their father had traumatized him, she didn't know it was this bad. With a frown, she pulled Soren back into a hug before pulling him back down onto the bed and hugged him tightly.

"It's okay A mhuirnín, it was just a bad dream. I'm right here, I'm not dead. You know that, don't you?"

Soren nods quietly. "It just...it felt so real Enya, I held you as you died slowly in my arms, I felt you grow cold and limp and I could do nothing to stop it."

"Well I'm certainly not dead, that's for sure." Enya sighs before giving him another kiss on the side of his head. "I'm not going to leave you like that Soren, I promise. I'll hold you for the rest of the night so you won't feel so alone, okay?"

Soren smiles softly. "Okay. How did I get so lucky to end up with you as my wife?"

Enya snorts. "Easy, you pestered me enough to win me over. Now sleep."
