A/N: I noticed at least in the comment section of Savior that a lot of readers wanted to see Enya go off at some women who asked her if they thought Kasef was more handsome than Soren

So, here ya go, for the ones who wanted this 🫶

---

“Barius! Good morning!” Enya greets as she enters the bakery with an empty basket in one hand and a few bolts of cloth under her other arm.

“Ah good morning to you too, miss Enya!” The older man greets warmly as he is pulling a tray out of the oven. “Haven't seen you here in quite a while, how's your father? I heard he disappeared the night the princes disappeared and the king passed.”

“Oh he's fine, he's just staying somewhere for now because of a leg injury he sustained.” The tailoress assures him. “I was just doing some early morning shopping, restocking some supplies and thought I could get a snack.”

“Ah I was actually planning on heading to the palace myself, to deliver our young king some jelly tarts. Say, if you are heading back, could you perhaps deliver them to him? A growing boy like him needs all the food he can get.”

“Of course, I'm sure he'd be thrilled to have jelly tarts for breakfast. I take it that this should prevent him from sneaking in to steal your baked goods?”
“Hopefully, he's a good kid, but I do need pastries to sell and I can't do that if he steals a whole tray of them.”

Enya laughs. “I agree, though something tells me I'll have to sew him a whole new set of pants, shirts and a proper belt if you keep feeding him like this.”

Barius laughs. “We'll see about that. Let me gather you those tarts, and anything for you?”

“My usual, and perhaps some treats for a certain hairy friend? And maybe some extra tarts for…other friends.”

“Raspberry jelly tarts and some puppy treats, you got it! This may take me a while, I'll be right back with a large basket.”

Enya smiles as she steps outside of the shop and sets her cloth boards against the side of the bakery to stretch her arms. She had plans to give Soren and Claudia jelly tarts, and maybe talk to them when she had the chance when she got back from shopping, so hopefully this wouldn't take long. It still felt so weird to see Soren limping about on a crutch, but this morning he seemed to be a bit better when she saw him doing a morning jog around the castle.

“...I mean he seems quite broody but it's rather attractive.” She overhears some girl say to her friend as they are walking past. “I'd say he's better looking than the captain.”

“Well yes, he's cute looking but this prince looks more…rugged? Is that the right word?” The other girl responds. “I didn't get a good look at him, he practically stormed through the village this morning to the palace!”

Ah, they must be talking about the prince from Neolandia. Enya thinks as she leans against the stone wall. Who are they even comparing him to anyways?

“Hey, isn't she the tailor from the castle who hangs out with that weird sister of his?” One girl asks and Enya glances over to see them looking at her.

“I think so, poor girl has to be friends with such a weird girl like Claudia.”

Weird girl named Claudia, sister to a captain - wait were they talking about Soren and comparing him to that stupid prince? Enya just narrowed her eyes at the two girls as they approached.

“What do you want?” She asks with a frown.

“You work in the palace, right?” One of the girls asks, seemingly oblivious to the tailoress’ annoyed tone.

“And?”

“Well, you've seen the prince close up, the visiting one from Neolandia?”

“I've had the displeasure of meeting the crown prince.” Enya says bluntly. “And no you can't just go meet him, unless you have a death wish.”

“Oh my, I wouldn't dream of it!” The other girl laughs. “We were just wondering if he was more handsome in person in comparison to the captain of the king's guard!”

More handsome than- were they serious?!

“Gods you girls are shallow, he's an absolute ass!” Enya exclaims. “Compared to him, Soren's a literal saint! Sure he's a bit cocky and maybe a little dumb, but he's so much better than that royal pain in the ass! And better looking too if I may add!”

“Miss! Your breads are ready!” Enya turns to see Barius standing outside the bakery with her basket in his hands that was now filled with bread. She glares at the two women before marching back to the baker to retrieve her things and gave him a warm smile.

“Thank you Barius, I'll try coming by again when I can.” The tailoress says sweetly. “Now if you excuse me, I have some jelly tarts to deliver to a hungry king and definitely a hungry captain and his sister.”

“Ah yes, the “more handsome than a prince captain”, gotcha.” The baker chuckles.

“Huh?”

“Oh don't mind me, see you another time.”
